2 River Road Inn & Cottages

We stayed for 2 nights, the cottage was cozy and clean. The owners were very accommodating. The grounds are beautifully maintained you can tell they love what they do.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the staff and owners also just wonderful people. It was so clean from outside to inside and very convenient to Short sands and long sands and Oqunquit. I would highly recommend anyone they also are dog friendly.

Quiet and quaint!! We enjoyed the front porch. Super nice owners. Easy check in/out. We will be back!!

The cabin was very cute and clean. Easy parking, check in/out. Great location just minutes from beaches, lighthouse, Kittery, York, and Ogunquit.

Lovely staff and great breaky but pool could not be used because it was ice cold despite it being 80 degrees outside. They need a solar blanket,

Cottage was clean and comfortable, the owners were very friendly and welcoming

Quaint cabins on a wooded plot. Pool railing could use some updates..a bit rickety. Friendly staff, who offered great local intel. My dog was happy that local beaches were dog friendly. Very nice breakfast provided.

Simply beautiful.

We had a great time. The only things I might have liked were a couple of bathroom shelves and a better mattress in the main bedroom.

Very cute, clean place to get away for a few days. Staff was very friendly and helpful…including River, the dog 😊 The flower gardens around the property are gorgeous! I will definitely keep this place in mind for future getaways.

Our stay was nice. Very clean cottage the mattress was not at all comfortable. Needs to update the mattress but over all location was perfect and quiet.

We were very disappointed with the actual place vs what the pictures were online. It looked like there was an in ground pool but when we got there it was 4 foot above ground with a lot a rules. No jumping in the pool was one of them which seemed a little outlandish, especially for the kids. It was a pet friendly place but there were plenty of dog rules as well. One of them being, you can’t leave your dog in the cottage for longer than 1/2 hour. What are you suppose to do with them when everywhere around is not dog friendly? Leave them in the hot car? We felt like we were being watched throughout our stay, which creeped me out. I get it it’s a cottage and it’s not perfect, but the floors were uneven, there were carpenter ants, and I kept getting whiffs of septic coming from the bathroom. If we were aware what we were getting into we wouldn’t have stayed.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful!! The owners were also incredibly friendly. We will definitely be staying here again!!!
