Aloft New York Chelsea

This was my second stay at Aloft Chelsea, and it didn’t disappoint. The location is perfect — close to everything in Manhattan, with easy access to the subway, restaurants, and shops. The room was clean, modern, and surprisingly quiet, with a super comfy bed and great city views. The staff were friendly and check-in was quick and easy. It’s a stylish, no-fuss hotel that makes a great home base for both work and play in NYC — I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Nice hotel. Great location. Mattress was a bit hard.

Super nice rooms, with large glass windows, so I loved that. View was of other people in there hotel rooms so nothing spectacular but good nonetheless, staff was great! Outside the hotel are a ton of flower shops so a real pretty, refreshing, walk when you walk through all the flowers they have out. Unless a delivery truck blocks the whole street and grid locks traffic for an hour and people are laying on their horns (based on true events 😂). I’d definitely stay here again.

Had to consistently ask for housekeeping to do simple stuff like vacuum and bring new towels. Not worth the stay…

We really appreciated the location. It was easy to get to the theaters, which is what brought us to NY. However, despite arriving past their check-in time, we had to wait because a large group had just arrived and taken all the available rooms. It sounded odd since we had a reservation, but we rolled with it. We got our room key, and the elevators were interesting. You have to join a queue by entering your floor number. Rarely were all elevators working, usually just one, which meant there was a line. I am all for safety but surely two elevators at all times is needed. Entering our room was disappointing as it was a closet, even by NY standards. For two average sized adults with luggage? It was tiny! Plus, a large human hairball was on the floor when we walked in. It didn't make me feel like the room had been adequately disinfected and cleaned. This was cost-efficient, but you pay for it by second-guessing how clean everything is that you're using.

Everything was fine except it was loud: not really the street noise was a problem, but more some mechanical noise coming from the building itself
