What Guests Say About Their Stay

Jennifer

If you follow the instructions in their email and make sure to note the limited check in/front desk availability, it is a great option - especially if you have stuff you want to do in downtown Honolulu, but even if you are vacationing to other parts of the island! No, there are no cleaning services but that's because you are basically renting an apartment. Ours had all the amenities we needed. No W/D in our studio so we used the communal laundry room. I always find myself ubering from waikiki to downtown honolulu and it adds up. It was so nice to stay downtown this time.

It is difficult to find the front desk. The small room is the front desk. It is on the fifth floor, which has a dark corridor. It looks creepy and unfriendly. The elevator is full of cockroaches, and therefore the whole building is too. The manager on duty is absent. When I arrived the front desk (room) was closed and I couldn't do the check in. I saw the notice in the room through the glass: if the room is closed you can call by phone number... I tried to reach someone using this phone number. The operator said: ok, someone call you back. I waited 2 hours but nobody call me. When I call to operator again, she was so rude. When I asked to reach with their supervisor, she told me: He is absent right now. He does not work on weekends. Finally, I was forced to buy a room in another hotel. So my question is to the owner if she or he is exist: If you don't have money to pay staff 24 hours and provide good service why do you have this hotel? Sell you businnes to a good owner. You took money but didn't provide the room. It's very sad the EXPEDIA doesn't protect themself customers from such horrible hotels.

I stated there were three of us that would be in the room which is why I booked the room with a pull out couch. The couch did not seem to pull out. When we did pull out the couch cushions is was gross and looked like it had not been cleaned. The tv in the living room was not working along with some lights. We needed to check out early (6am) and didn't realize the office didn't open until 9am. The parking and elevators were also a nightmare to figure out but we eventually did.

There is a high resort fee and its a basic hotel with no street parking, $53/day parking garage and youre forced to transfer elevators from the parking lot to hotel rooms. Hotel floors are old and outdated. Front desk/house cleaning only available 9a-5p, by phone after hrs and sat/sun. No room service. Not much assistance available. The rooms are basic. Was nice to have a tub. Other than 711 and small food chains, the surrounding area are all corporate bldgs and closing retail stores. A little sad. Overall having not soent much time at the hotel, it served its purpose, but for the rate charged, its excessive for the lack of services and amenities available. We werent even informed of any details during check in. Just key and room number and password to open the door. Make sure when checked in you ask all the necessary questions because it is not volunteered.

Shower in room had hair from previous visitor still on wall and in bathtub. Very inconvenient checkin/out process. Had to pay $15 to get out of parking garage because you have to turn in the parking card when you checkout. Inefficient.

The seats in front of the windows would’ve been great if the shades worked. Multiple shades were broken. The pillow case was dirty, there were no extra towels, the hallway rugs were disgustingly dirty, no deadbolt on door and no chain inside. The latch for the door looked like it was incapable of even holding the door shut because it was so bent. There were broken doorknobs in the bathroom drawer (which we threw away so that we could use the drawer). The slide for the drawer in the bathroom wasn’t put on the drawer so that the drawer just falls out when you pull it out There was no dish strainer and no paper towels. There was also someone else’s shampoo, conditioner and body wash left in the shower. We have stayed in many hotels. This was, by far, the worst. We would never stay again.

THAT IS COMPLETELY UNHEARD OF! We also had a roach in our room! The floor on the room is also sticky!
