Just a block off the bluff. Or steps from the walkway that runs down Cannery Row itself. Leading to the Aquarium.
Walk to an easy dinner or a pampered dinner. Off the balcony we had a view of the water. And listen to the sound of the Sea Lions preaching their own band of politics. Simple place. Small. But great location.

The property itself did not look like the pictures that were online. Additionally, they charge me to park on the hotel property even though I already paid for a room so is an additional $17 per night. The walking path up against the property had some pretty scary, homeless people living there there was this loud banging I took videos All night long randomly. The room was pretty rundown definitely not clean. The toilet was not actually screwed into the ground and the pillows inside the pillowcases were brown and yellow. After speaking with Expedia the hotel does not want to refund the room so I’m hoping that if you guys see this review, you will save yourself time in trouble and stay somewhere else.

We chose this place because it was more affordable than others and conveniently located. Since we planned to be out most of the day, we mainly just needed a clean and decent place to sleep. The location was a plus—within walking distance to the aquarium and the beach where you can see sea lions. It's not the quietest spot—you can hear traffic and occasionally the sea lions—but it wasn’t a big issue for us. The office has a nice coffee and tea station, though it's not accessible before 8 AM. Overall, it was a good stay, and we’d definitely come back next time we're in Monterey.

The property was very convenient for walking to the aquarium, cannery row, and the wharf. Check in and check out was simple and easy. Beach access would have been awesome if the beach wasn't closed due to sea lions. The hotel was great do everything I needed on my trip.

The location can hardly be better between Fisherman Warf and the more central area. Check-in is efficient and can be done online. The room is not that big, but has a fridge, a coffee maker and a microwave, no desk. You can hear the sound of the traffic, but it is quiet at night. Also you will be able to hear loud neighbours. Coffee at the reception is freshly brewn from beans and above average. For parking an extra $16,95 is charged, this cost is somewhat hidden.

It was wonderful to have our INN right across the street from our favorite beach in Monterey. It just happened to be closed off because the sea lions, but that didn't stop us from putting our blankets on the grass and enjoying our day. After eating dinner on Cannery Row, we headed back to the hotel and enjoyed fresh air from our balcony as we watched the sea lions across the street. We had originally planned to sleep with our slider open to hear the water and enjoy the sea air while we slept, but the sea lions were TOO LOUD, no fault of the INN. We will definitely return again.

location is great. hotel is old. staff is short, not much helpfull. room had a smell. refrigerator was so load i could not sleep well. fireplace is old, but kept us warm. bed linens are old and very thin, wrinkles all over, blanket is very tiny. overall ok, but i do not think i would stay there again. TV was good with netflex, youtube,etc
