Casablanca Inn on the Bay

Our stay was absolutely amazing. We already want to plan another trip and come back.

Only reason I give this place a 4 on property & facilities is because the driveway situation is a little scary. I hate backing out of tight spaces and that’s what I had to do after pulling in to check in( there is no where to run around). The front desk lady was very kind and said they could assist me backing out if needed but I decided to give it a go. Parking for this place is about 2 blacks down but if you’re someone who is fit to walk it really isn’t a bad walk to and from your car. Besides the parking/backing out this place was phenomenal and I will definitely be going back! If you’re someone who loves live music please get a room with a patio/balcony in the coach house, it will make your day!

Hotel is very old and very noisy....Young college age people roaming around and very loud at nite,,,,Bar next door with loud music....Parking is free but not convenient as it is several blocks from hotel....Check in with car on Charlotte street at the rear can be difficult....Area is full of hotels, many better choices....

This is a great boutique hotel overlooking the bay. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and surprisingly quite. The location was perfect with plenty of dining options and sights nearby. The breakfast was cooked to order and the complimentary martini in the martini bar was a real treat. This is now my go to accommodation whenever I visit St. Augustine.

Was very nice. Loved the restaurant. Friendly staff. Martinis hit pretty hard. Lol if you are looking for something super quiet this north place for you. It’s a pretty lively area with people and cars out late. You can hear the street life from the room we stayed in. Was still fun and super convenient to all of the shops and restaurants.

Property and bathrooms in need of an overhaul. 2 free martinis and breakfast that we had were great though. Staff was nice.

Very friendly staff and it’s a nice touch having a free martini and breakfast included. My room was definitely more of a suite and such a nice change having stayed at big corporate hotels a lot.

Super cute hotel near all the shops and restaurants. Staff was great but I can only give it 3 stars because our room smelled like mildew.

If you want cookie-cutter, stay somewhere else. If you are looking for something unique with old school Florida charm, STAY HERE..! Love the location overlooking the water, and the ability to walk to the square downtown. Their cozy little bar and the restaurant overlooking the street / water were both great. Our booking happen to include two free drinks at the bar and a complimentary breakfast for two (unsure if all stays include this). Small private parking lot is about a 1 minute walk. Our stay was in late January, and to our surprise, all the Christmas lights were still up (St Augustine is famous for their Christmas lights downtown). Our first floor room was in the front / main building (Room #3). It had its own private access to the back alley, providing quick access to the many cool little shops and eateries. Looking forward to our next stay at the Casablanca!

Very convenient location. Staff was very nice. Room was a bit run down. Shower was practically impossible to find a balance of warm water. Either scold you or absolutely freezing also was VERY tiny for a 6'4 guy. A bit weird having to walk through the full dining room with all of your luggage to front desk and room. Parking is a block away as well. Overall ok but not at the top of our list to stayvat again in St. Augustine. Room was a good value with drink vouchers and breakfast.

This hotel was very cute and had all the character you’d expect from its age. You have to get past the normal hotel amenities like room refrigerator, elevator, or hairdryer etc to really appreciate it. The staff was over the top nice about everything. Our dog Dexter loved it …except for all the steps. Would stay again!!

Great location, comfortable bed and good breakfast & service. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in either sink and no cold water from one faucet. The water for the shower was lukewarm, at best. Overall, disappointed based upon the hotel room rate.
