The view out of our window was of several very large piles of garbage. The food available for dinner was several steps below bad fast food.

Although upon arrival you're unsure what you're getting, but it was a wonderful stay. Room was clean and a nice size. Breakfast was convenient and good options for free - not just continental. Wish there was parking on site or at least a close parking garage since we drove, but for cost and location it was great. I'd stay again.

First. When you arrive at the hotel, don’t be put off by the surroundings. It’s one of three in an industrial area near JFK which isn’t where I’d go for a morning run. That being said, the interior finish and conditions are first rate. Looked to me like a recent refresh where the only signs of age was the condition of the bottom of the bathroom door moulding. Not bad, just not new. The other quirk was the luggage strap motif in both the lobby and the room. Seemed out of place but that’s just me. Breakfast was good and who doesn’t love a waffle maker? Only other thing was it took a while for me to find the switch for the headboard light. It’s a small switch on one side of the bed (but not the other) that mimics the downlight switch. Of course I slept on the side without the switch which is why it took some searching. Oh, and if you get in late the shuttle stops running at 10:45 from the federal circle Airtrain stop!

Nice breakfast. Warm food. Very clean room. Very quiet considering how close it is to the airport. Very good shuttle service.

Comfortable room. Small but typical for NYC. The carpeting had two large sticky spots and needed cleaning. The rest of the room was fine.

TSA was a big help

First the good: The cleanliness of the property was exemplary. Now for everything else: The helpfulness of the staff was appalling! They did not care at all about their customers. There was a car blaring loud music right outside our room at 10.30pm, which of course is not their fault, but they refused to do anything about it - they didn't send the security man out to have a word, although he did coincidentally come up to our floor to have a word with another room who he said were being loud. (They weren't!) They refused to call the non-emergency line for the police - they refused to even give me the number to call them. They refused to change our room. The shuttle to/from the airport runs ONCE PER HOUR - be aware of that if you have an early morning flight or are tired when you arrive at JFK - you could have up to an hour to wait! The 7am shuttle was fully booked so we had to leave at 6am, missing our breakfast, and even that had standing room only! And they offered no form of compensation or any kind of service recovery. They simply do not care about their customers. (Potentially you, if you're reading this review.)

It was perfect for an overnight layover. I would stay here again!

The rooms are clean and cool and the breakfast was great with many choices. We will be back.

Love the cleanliness of this property!

It was just ok .. Close to the airport and free shuttle being points in favour. It was clean . Unfortunately our room (313) was right by the lift and was so noisy we got hardly any sleep . Windows do not cut out much of the traffic noise of busy road outside .
