A beautiful mountain lodge style hotel. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Great beds. Liked 1st level opening onto grass fields & outdoor chairs. Restaurant was fantastic. Two good meals with spectacular view. Only glitch was a very unfriendly lady at check in. Felt like she was annoyed that we were taking up her time. Easy car parking. Loved it!

The hotel was in a beautiful and convenient location, although it is on the top of a large hill so if you’re walking, be prepared. We thought the rooms and bathroom were a bit dated, but the beds were comfy and the hotel had all the amenities that we needed. Dog friendly which is nice to see. We would stay here again

This wasn't our first stay in Lake Placid. After reading the previous reviews, we decided to try the Crowne Plaza. It was a bit of a letdown. Luckily our stay wasn't on a weekend, so the price of the room was discounted somewhat. The staff was courteous and polite as they should be, however only 1 out of 11 staff members that we interacted with spoke fluent English and that was frustrating. If you are going to Lake Placid for the view, there are far better places. If you are a big breakfast eater, then the breakfast buffet would be good. If you are just looking for a smaller continental breakfast, you will be paying top dollar for an English muffin or Danish. We have stayed in better and worst places, so that is why the average rating was given.
