Days Inn by Wyndham Erie

Upon arrival we had water running into our room. Immediately notified the staff, however it continued for the four days we were there. The last night they offered for us to use a room across the hall to shower and wash our hands and use the toilet, even though the water was not coming from our bathroom. The water was even running into the hallway which caused somebody to fall. Their idea of fixing it was to put a wet sign up. There was not enough staff to work the front desk and you had to wait a very long time before somebody would come to the front desk to assist you. Four adults were staying in our room and on the first night we had two towels and the remainder of the nights we only had one towel and no wash rags so every night we had to go to the desk to request towels and wash rags. Not to mention we needed extra towels to clean up the water that was running into our room. The staff seemed nice, but no issues were resolved. I was told a manager would call me after checking out and it’s been weeks and I have not been able to get a hold of anyone and no one has returned my call.

The breakfast was excellent. The mattress was stained, did not have a mattress pad. Upholstered chair was soiled. Towels were very very thin. There was not a hair dryer. It was very cold when we entered - 62 degrees! The thermostat was difficult to figure out. I won’t be back.

We stayed one night, just passing through while on traveling to our vacation destination. In our opinion the room we were given was in need of serious TLC. The staff were friendly and helpful and continental breakfast was a hit.

This was the absolute worst hotel that I have ever seen. Our toilet was broken, they gave us pool towels rather than real towels, doors were propped open for a lack of security and if you needed assistance no one was around to help you. We actually checked out the first morning after we arrived due to the horrid conditions shown at this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is not as pictured. Out dated and it was dirty. Towels were old and musty. Bed looked like it was already slept in. It was super soft like sleeping on a marshmallow. Pillows were flat and small. Shower water went down very slow. Toilet backed up almost thought it was going to overflow. Thank god it didn't. Place looked like a cheap motel not a hotel. Will never stay there again.

There was fries on the floor in our room, shower curtai. Was old and gross looking, dust on microwave and lamps were leaning the pool arra had a bokt sticking out for no known reason that my daughter sliced her foot on and we had to go get looked at and she got a tetanus shot... food was ok but nothing to rave about.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms good value

Bed was completely disgusting. Dirty pillow case, holes in sheets, and dingy towels. Our white shower curtain was yellow. Decided to clean the pool for an hour in the middle of the day. Breakfast was very underwhelming. The pictures for this place were completely misleading.

Overall our experience was a good one. The room was in good shape and appeared to be clean. Upon closer inspection the shower curtain needed to be washed. The bottom 6 inches was stained pinkish brown from mold or rust in the water. Since there was no notice in our room that housekeeping worked only every other day, we put our used towels on the floor before we left for the day. Upon returning in the evening we found the towels still on the floor and the beds unmade. The people at the desk were gracious and quickly replaced the used towels for clean ones. The breakfast was very nice and it was good to see that offering a free breakfast has returned after COVID restrictions. Over all, the experience was good and we may book again when in Erie but there were a few issues which need to be addressed.

I loved everything about it

The property did not have locks on any of the outside doors. It is a very large property/building complex and I was very surprised that the doors to enter the building did not have locks on them.

As they termed it, “hot breakfast” was only available on Saturday and Sunday. Same breakfast on Saturday and Sunday; something different or with more varieties on either of the day would go far way to make a difference. I had two beds in my room - one for my two kids and one for myself. I noticed one of my bed covers, the heavy one(comforter) had two broad visible stains that made me uncomfortable seeing those stains when making the bed in the morning and even the thought of the stains when lying on the bed. I guess I should have asked for a replacement, but I was so busy for the three nights I had there, and I was always coming back to the Inn at the wee hours.

Pulling iaroubd the side of the building there was a woman in her van that looked either dead, or high on something. That bothered me.....Eventhough there wasn't many cars in the lot, my room was a far walk from the front desk. Smelled like cigarette smoke in hallways. Called front desk twice to ask for wake up call in the morning, but no answer. (I called before 10 p.m.)... Only enough coffee for 1 and a half cups upon check out in the morning

Decent price for a goodnight sleep before heading to your next road destination and right off the highway

The morning lady worked very hard while the night shift staff seemed to not care much at all. You could tell she’s the backbone to the hotel, Took 8 hours to get a 2 extra pillows and when we did the one pillow was about half of a pillow.

Don’t let the pictures fool you. Hotel is run down and dirty. Hallways smell of weed. Obvious dirt and staining on chairs, pillows, and mattress. Floor was sticky grimy. Towels for the shower were very small and what would consider rags. Exterior doors are open to anyone.

The biggest complaint I have is the water was yellow the whole time even after running for several minutes. Did not take a shower or eat there because of this. Not sure if Comfort Inn took over someplace else but didn’t feel the place was very secure either.

The pictures are not accurate. Hotel smells of cigarettes and mold. No locks on the exterior doors. Very plain and old. Paint chipping off doors. The phone didn’t have a cord so no phone to call front desk. GO somewhere else!!!

The hotel rooms look nothing like the pictures. Don't be fooled. Maybe 1 or 2 rooms look like that but the room we stayed in was awful. Rust all over the bathroom, toilet seat barely hanging, you sunk into the beds, the furniture was all beat up, they literally gave us 2 hand towels as shower towels, there was a smell to the room, only bathroom light and door way light worked. Definitely find somewhere else or ask for an upgraded room

The lobby was nice. Staff at check in were helpful. The rest of the hotel was dirty. There was a water leak in the hall outside of our room the 3 days we were there. After check in the staff were nowhere to be found. Even if you tried to call there was no answer. Breakfast was cereal bars and packaged muffins. We checked out a day early.
