There were no bathrooms located on the first floor of the building we stayed at, there is only one location to get pool towels so we had to walk around construction. I had a handicapped family member with me and the amount of walking we had to do was unfortunate and inconvenient. The bathroom in our hotel room had cockroaches and they were still present after maintenance sprayed the room.

Had to request a different room after my husbands wheelchair couldn’t get over the 2inch transition piece on the floor. I had called and emailed before our trip to be sure the room was handicap accessible. The girl at the front desk was not willing to think about changing our room, she was sure all of the rooms in the 5 building campus had that bar across the bottom, offered to send someone to help him into the room. Manager would not come out to talk to me. Original girl gave me a key to a different room. It worked however she neglected to record the room change, so 2 different parties entered our room and quickly apologized after they saw the room was occupied. As a result, we had NO room service for 5 days. No one knew we were there. Poorly run place. Attitude at front desk was pretty much “Get over it”

The sheets were damp and wet. There were house roaches in there. I literally seen somebody drop a cigarette from a floor above into the lazy pool. Looks nothing like the pictures. Huge construction site literally next door. Horrible parking. Nice staff but horrible place. I’d never go back.

It was majority pros then cons . The bed linings were not properly cleaned. When it came to the hot tub . People used it as a spot to clean the sand off your feet . Other than that everything was just fine. I wouldn’t mind going back the problems are a simple fix so it’s not that bad at all.

We just for one night , the staff are really nice , the hotel condition is fair , but at the last day we saw a huge cockroach in our room . Also , there was weed smell everywhere, at the room balcony, pool and even near to the lobby.

The location is fabulous! There is construction currently occurring that would’ve been nice to know about. They’re working on a pier and something else maintenance was really quick to fix a faucet leak. The breakfast is always a highlight tasty and a pleasant treat in the mornings they not so pleasant is the marijuana smell from people smoking on their patios. Almost every day you could smell the marijuana.

Location, swimming pools (open till 10.30 pm!) were great! Staff allowed using the facilities after checking out. Breakfast was filling. Not the best yoghurts/donuts/bagels/juices, but at least the grits, omelets, sausages, fruit were OK.

Dayton House is our go to hotel for our family vacations. This is our second year staying, and the staff is always friendly, the location is close enough to the boardwalk and has so many options within walking distance for food, mini golf, shopping, ect. The room has fresh paint and was mostly clean. There were some baby food pieces on the floor when we first got there, and our kiddo isn’t a baby anymore. The lazy river is fun, and having multiple pool options across the property is awesome. And you can’t forget the beach! It’s not too crowded in that area which is very nice. I feel safe on the property as well. Overall would recommend!!

There was a dead roach on our tv stand, I found it as we were leaving. There were spots that were not clean throughout. The staff were all kind and attentive.
