The property is very nice; however, it is quite expensive. If you stay at the hotel, the beach chairs and umbrellas should be either complimentary or reasonably priced. The drinks are outrageous too— they charged us $25.00 for a plastic cup of margarita. Everything else is fine, and the room is worth the money.

The atmosphere of this property is gorgeous. You feel like you are in an arboretum. The room was clean and updated, and had a fabulous ocean-front view with a spacious balcony. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The staff on the beach are some of the hardest workers I have encountered - so accommodating and friendly while handling the hot summer weather like pros. We will definitely be back!

the beach was clean in the morning. There was construction on half of the pool and patio so there were no chairs available for the number of guests booked. We sat on concrete the first day until we learned the system. There was the Nigerian Bro. Convention there and about 200 people in the lobby every night. I called security 2 nights to report yelling and doors slamming at 2 and 3 AM.
interesting stay. They did grant a 2 hour late check out for the inconveniences, but that was hardly worth the price plus the 50 dollar a day resort fee.... not rebooking here. Going to try the Margaritaville theme hotel down the road. Seems like a better situation for us.

Felt that the room was not cleaned as thoroughly as it was in the past when I didn’t book through Expedia and booked through Hilton. The lack of effort was clear by the number of towels in the room, lack of extra blankets and pillows, and the overall general effort by the staff as it felt I was inconveniencing them whenever I called the front desk.

Had to call for wash clothes. Was told they had a shortage, this is unacceptable. Management should have taken this more seriously and found wash clothes at near by stores if necessary. Was staying Tuesday thru Saturday and received 3 wash clothes only. Had to bathe with hand towels. Unacceptable, very disappointed in management don’t fixing problem. Cheryl Goetz

The food at the hotel bar was sooooo good. The quality of the food at all the restaurants at the diplomat is top tier. But the carpet in the room was gross there were red stains and wet spots everywhere and the glass doors in the bathroom made a loud noise every time you would close it.

If you enjoy a multicultured atmosphere, this your place. Too much weed smoking and the place will nuckle and dime you to death. Only several staff members advised of the 20% gratuity added to the bill. The others accepted that 20% plus another 20%. Especially at the bar. Food is 2/10 if that. Pool is oversaturated and infinity pool was salty and overpopulated. If you a seat in the sun either get there at 7am or go the secret seating near the gym exit. One good thing was there were plenty of towels for pool and beath but no seating at beath. If you enjoy sargassum seaweed rhis is your place. Defintely overpriced for you expect. Rooms were clean but our floor was noisy until 2 am. Would not return or refer to others. Sorry for review but completely true.

The property was great and the staff were great as well. I didn’t really like the way the extra fees were handled. Instead of being up front with customers they hit you with a $50/day resort fee… upon check in they sell “amenities” that come with your stay but in reality you’re paying for amenities you may not even use. I like cost upfront so this really bothered me. Aside from this the stay was nice and the resort is well kept.
