Wish they did not charge $30 daily for parking

Pillows were soft, room was ok. Staff was rude & unprofessional. Cleaning staff nice & friendly. Overall impression…terrible & would not recommend or return. Not a vacation destination, better for low budget one night stay.

Friendly staff and amazing universal benefits: such an easy and enjoyable walk to the park. Will be booking again for our next universal trip. The breakfast cafe was excellent!

We just returned today from a 5 night stay! The hotel was so accommodating and helpful! The proximity to universal is wonderful. It is definitely walkable but honestly after a 10 hour visit to the park we Ubered. Uber ran us around $20 a day round trip including tip. Honestly, Uber is the easiest. That way you don’t have to worry about car rental and parking.

We stayed 7/26/ 7/31 I gave this property three stars because you have to pay for parking it’s $35 daily and the card that is use to get in and out didn’t work at all the whole five days that we stayed. you’re paying for parking but you have to still push a button to get in and out. Even after a repair man said that it work. Outside the property along the entrance there were empty bags of snack,beverage bottles and cookies bags from the property all over the ground.

The Staff was very friendly, definitely recommend! We even got warm cookies to take for the road on our way back to the airport. LOVED that definitely will BE BOOKING AGAIN!!!

Not very accommodating to out needs when asking for something.

Everything was pretty ok but in the add it says free breakfast and that was not included and also nobody came to clean our room until our last day of stay we had to ask for extra towels. Also parking should be included it also didn’t say anywhere about the 33 a day rate.

The hotel was great. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Our flight was delayed so we didn’t arrive until 4 am. The front desk worker was amazing. She made check-in a breeze. Everyone was great. No complaints Beds are very comfy

Unfortunately upon arrival our room was not clean. When we opened the room door it smelled mildewy & the air condition unit was dripping.. Then when we went into the bathroom we found small black hairs all over the shower. Our TV in the room was broken & only 2 out of our 5 outlets worked lol. It was super disappointing to the point we considered switching to a different hotel. It was also disappointing bc I picked it specifically based off the decent reviews it had. Maybe it was just a dud & the rest of their property is clean but I can confirm I will never stay there again.

I just woke up from the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Need I say more?

Did not like having to pay 36 dollars for parking and 75 dollars for a cheap breakfast fir 2 people.

Front desk was very friendly giving us a cookie and bottles of water. The American Grill had excellent food and our server was very good as well. The power was out when we checked into the hotel so that was kind of an issue in the beginning but we still got our room before 4:00. Our only complaint was that the water in the pool was way too warm. Not refreshing at all. I know it’s hot in Florida but some places have cooling systems for their pools and the doubletree should invest in one. The hotel itself is a bit tired and in need of some updating including the common areas, rooms and bathrooms. Overall we had a nice time and our primary reason for visiting was to go to Universal Parks. The hotel provided transportation to and from the parks, just wish the shuttle went back n forth all day long instead of just certain times.

First time staying at this property, the staff was very rude, and unprofessional. Everyone look like they were having a bad day. It was very dirty and dated, no one answers the phone at the reception desk. Housekeeping doesn’t clean the room regularly, and 1 day our room did not have any water, and we had issues with toilet the entire vacation. The elevator was horrible, at least one or two was not working at times. I did speak to the manager 1 day, but not much was done. I was told that I would be given points for the inconvenience, but as of now still nothing. Starbucks was no better, everyone there was rude, no smile at all. They have a Very nice pool, but the pool bar is a joke. Overpriced with watered drinks. Seems like the staff at this hotel just hates their job. We did get very good food and service at the sunshine Café for breakfast, and also the pizza shop. Location is good, especially if you’re planning on going to Universal, which is walking distance. But if you’re looking for good service with a pleasant staff, that care's about your stay, that’s clean and in good working condition avoid this location.

Aside from the room needing a slight upgrade, the bathroom smelled wet due to not having vents to remove the steam after showering, I had to go out and purchase a plug in. The hotel was nice & quiet. Excellent location to Universal, lots of amenities for a seven year old, she especially liked the ice cream parlor and splash pad. I will stay again. Bathroom needs upgrading for sure.
