Hampton Inn Manhattan Grand Central

When we arrived, it was near midnight and they were receiving laundry ...all the carts were in the lobby and we thought we were entering thru the back of the house entrance. There was not sense of urgency on moving the towels and line from the entrance .

Rooms are very tiny - but that is New York. Prices are also high - but that is New York. Breakfast was typical what you may find at other Hampton Inns. There was always free water in the lobby, as well as coffee/tea. Hotel is convenient to the Grand Central Terminal and would definitely stay again.

Right from the start the staff was welcoming and friendly! The rooms are small but very clean and quiet! The hotel offered a free breakfast each morning with a variety of choices which was awesome. The hotel is close to many attractions as well as transportation to sightseeing areas further away. I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn!

I'm an annual visitor and this property was perfect! Great location, close to Grand Central, clean and roomy, and totally quiet! I'll be back!

We were on the 18th floor and had no major issues with noise--only some sirens passing by one evening, but nothing disruptive. The room was pretty small and tight for the four of us, but it was perfectly fine for sleeping, with comfortable beds that ensured we all got a good night's rest after busy days exploring the city. While the room could use a few modern updates and refreshes, there was nothing significant enough to complain about--it was clean and functional for our needs. We did encounter a minor hiccup the first couple of nights with housekeeping not providing enough towels and washcloths for all four of us, which was a bit frustrating. However, by the end of the trip, they got it right, and we appreciated that they offer daily housekeeping--a nice touch that's becoming less common these days. The wireless internet worked well and was speedy enough for basic use on our devices, which was great for keeping the kids entertained and planning our days. One standout feature I loved was the in-shower dispensing bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash--not only is this super convenient, but it's also better for the environment by reducing the waste of those tiny plastic bottles. I wish more hotels would adopt this! The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight, offering a good assortment of hot options like little omelets, meats such as bacon or sausage, and make-your-own waffles.

My number one reason for staying here is that they have a computer (three of them) which guests can use and they are located in a very quiet area in the basement. This is a MUST for me as I do not use any handheld device.

Friendly staff very accomodating especially Asia on Reception, Destiny at breakfast and Adriana in housekeeping. Catered well for vegetarians/vegans at breakfast. Clean rooms and comfortable though a little dated and small. Lots of shops and eating places nearby.

Toilet blocked constantly. Last time they didnt even send anyone to fix it.

Staff were friendly, room was clean, good variety at breakfast, close walk to Grand Central terminal (5 min). The only thing was the construction and noise very early on Saturday morning (not the hotel's fault) so bring ear plugs. Thank you for a great stay!

The was a little small, but very clean but the area is noisy and made falling asleep hard.

This hotel being so close to grand central terminal makes it super ideal for any tourist wanting to explore NYC!
