We got a quite spacious room...clean...Breakfast was very good...my kids loved it..The location of the hotel was a wow!You can see mountain from the window...Only the part I didn’t like was the microwave oven...It was an old style...no 30 sec button!

This property is either relatively new, or recently renovated. It has nearly everything I want for a short stay. The room is large, clean and comfortable. The wifi is exceptional for a hotel. The property has a pool and exercise room. The breakfast area is very large and comfortable and the food is better than other similar places. The staff is efficient and professional. The only negative comment is that the access road to the hotel looks like it has been used for artillery practice. Bring your off-road vehicles!

On this day, August 31, at the Hampton Inn Matamoras/Milford, there was an incident. Our stay was not the best. There was a misunderstanding, on my part, about the pool amenities after check out. I was checked out and under the impression because I had been a guest I was allowed to use the pool (amenities) for the remainder of the day. I was visiting with family and had invited them, as well. The receptionist was rude and accused me of “malicious deception” in front of multiple guests, defaming my character. It was a misunderstanding, on my part, that was handled extremely poorly. The receptionist did not have a name tag and was presumptuously audacious in how she handled the situation. I was called deceptive multiple times and remained calm and willing to pay for the misunderstanding. I apologized to the guests that were present and waiting for the situation to be resolved, as well. Due to this incident, that could have been handled much differently, I will not be bringing my business to any Hampton Inn again.

I booked 2 rooms for my family. My wife went to check in. I failed to tell her that I put our daughters name on the second room. The woman at the desk informed her that we only had one room and they had no more rooms left but there was just a cancellation. My wife panicked and paid for another room. When we realized my wife didn't use my daughters name for the second room we went back to the desk to cancel the extra room. We were told it was our mistake and there was nothing she could do. The desk attendant was extremely rude and I believe she knew exactly what she was doing with selling us a second room. We paid for 3 rooms and only used 2. I am also disappointed in Hotels.com because I needed to talk to someone about this and could not find a number to call.

Clearly Expedia and the Hampton dont communicate well. Went to check in and the hotel couldn't and wouldn't accommodate my stay. This was due to expedia not knowing that the hotel was overbooked. I traveled over 17hrs to be told that I didn't have a room. No more expedia for me and no more Hampton Inn in Matamoras Pa.

We very much liked our room. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of storage space. The bathroom and shower were great. We were a bit disappointed with the breakfasts. They were okay, but not super. And the road driving right up to the hotel is in bad shape. There are several nasty pot holes.

Just some stains on chair and carpet. Toilet didn’t flush in room 219. Needed to sleep so didn’t want to deal with complaining… was very surprised for a Hampton… usually Hamptons are very nice
