Holiday Inn Express & Suites QUEENSBURY - LAKE GEORGE AREA by IHG, an IHG Hotel

I was not given the room I booked , I paid more money for upgraded room but down graded to smaller room as room I booked was not available or overbooked, I am looking for refund on downgrade or credit towards another future booking.😢😢😢😢😢

The location and grounds were nice. Air conditioner worked great. Just a little mess up on our room I think. We had no bathtub and a handicap accessible room. Which we did not book. I needed a tub for my kids and the small fridge had no freezer I thought that was weird. But needed to freeze my ice packs for outdoor activities the following days. The breakfast was not that great. The food they put out was good as long as there was anything left. They didn't refill items at all. The sofa bed in our room was fine ... But they gave one pillow and a horrible thing hard rough blanket to sleep with. A few extra pillows wouldn't of hurt. But the staff was very nice throughout our stay. We love the holiday inn Express but probably wouldn't stay there again next year on our annual trip to lake George.

What can I say about this hotel manager. I accidentally booked the wrong location on my Expedia app which was about 20 miles from where I had to be. So I booked with the same company holiday inn at Saratoga Springs I had Expedia call them to get a refund of $232 and the manager of the hotel refused I then called myself to explain my situation but she did not care nice person!!!

Only thing I would change is TOO BRIGHT lighting! No way to dim or tone down terrible LED lights.

Rooms were great, breakfast was very good.

Very nice staff. Clean spacious room. My only complaint is that the breakfast was pretty bad. No fresh fruit except wrapped apples. No peanut butter for the toast. Would love more healthy options like plain yogurt and berries.

Excellent service. They allowed us a late check out which was helpful due to not feeling too well on the day of check out. Breakfast options were plentiful with great variety and there were also complimentary board games to borrow. Fitness center was open 24 hours and hours of the pool and hot tub were perfect (6am - 10pm). Only "complaint" was that neither the pool ro hot tub were as warm as we expected. Everything else wss great.

The hotel was clean, neat, organized and the staff were friendly. The indoor pool was great as well as the hot tub!

I thought everything was great at this location. Super friendly and helpful staff. I love the breakfast options, hot and cold. I took one star off because there was only one working elevator. Also, a spider crawled on me my first night. I think it came from the bed. The room furniture should be dusted and cleaned before guest check in.

The staff was super helpful but the room was dirty. There was a musty smell in the room, a dead spider on the bathroom floor and the shower had a lot of hair in it leaving me to believe the bathroom was not cleaned.

I paid for two beds and was told all well take a King bed.

Stop here on the way to northern New York and the staff are always helpful and friendly
