Holiday Inn GALVESTON ISLAND by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed. The neighborhood wasn't desirable. As soon as I entered the room it smelt damp. There was something on the tile floor that was slippery, probably the moisture.

The bathroom was disgusting. Blood, hair and dirt all over the shower and bath tub. The attendee said to wait till the manager gets in the next morning but we had to leave before they got there so the problem was not resolved.

The staff was the best they made it a great experience!

Our assigned room had a strong smell but the room they moved us to was just fine. Staff was very attentive.

Multiple stays the night prior to cruising. Close to port, ez in and out. Will book again.

The pictures you see on hotels.com is not for that hotel pleasure Pier is not across the street from that Holiday inn the first room we got smelled like mildew and the floor was soaking wet

Not bad for the price. Air freshener in the lobby is overwhelming, but everything was clean and easy access.

I didn’t like anything about this hotel. Unfriendly staff, careless manager, no response to any complaints about my room. No cold water, kids and i had to use only hot water in this summer. Weird smell when entering the main lobby or the rooms. Bathroom lock broken. Hooks taken out from bathroom door. Fridge one leg broken. No quarters in exchange of my cash to use in laundry. Iron wire ripped in between. And most important, no house keeping, or picking trash from rooms, or putting more clean towels unless it's your 3rd day of stay.

Checking in was nice. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. The room was clean, however the amenities were lacking. No shampoo in the dispenser, the hair dryer was unattached from the wall with the front missing and exposed. Unfortunately breakfast isn’t a part of the price we paid, and we were informed they didn’t know how to check if we had it with our room. The price we paid for should’ve included the cost of $11.99/person. Holiday Inn used to be known for their great showers, not this one. Hardly any heat or pressure came from the shower, again goes back to what we paid should’ve been top notch. No plastic laundry bag. It may sound petty, but if I pay over $250 plus a $75 room deposit that I don’t get for 7-10 business days, then give me what I’m paying for. A nice stay, not some motel 6 experience, which is just right down the road, maybe next time that’s where I’ll stay and won’t be disappointed.

Need a place to sleep

The facility had a long check in. The pool sign was located in the wrong spot from the sign. There was so much noise in the hallways late at night. The AC had a bunch of gunk in it like dirt /debris. It got the job done as far as a hotel but will not return.

Nice staff, clean room but not within walking distance to shopping or dining. Daughter haddifferent experience. Room had to be changed due to strong mold smell in room.

Property located in middle of nowhere. Not much to look at. Not many food options. But the worst part was that our room smelled of mold. Very musty, wet, smelly. The cleaning job was not good. Pissed I spent $250+ dollars on this gross hotel. I wouldn’t stay again

I saw a roach in the room, will not stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until checkout. Service was excellent, our room was clean and comfortable.

A/c was COVERED in mold and when we tried to change rooms the hostess was very rude and not concerned with the condition on the room at all….
