Holiday Inn WILKES BARRE - EAST MOUNTAIN by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Poor check in person, a/c so loud couldn’t sleep. Had to flush toilet three times to get it to flush. Breakfast fees not explained at check in.

They are renovating this property literally daily however the upgrades have made it a much nicer stay. The lobby does smell like chlorine from the pool so that could be addressed, but I was pleasantly surprised by the room size, cleanliness and decor.

I had a great stay overnight I plan to come again

The only thing I didnt like is the bed mattess was to hard for my liking.

A nice spot to stop for the night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was placed in a newly renovated room, though not completely 100 finished, but I made it work. Great place to stay when traveling that area.

Excellent gym/sauna/whirlpool

This is my second year at this Hotel. It gets better each year. The hotel is currently renovating and the room was new, clean and comfortable. The surprise for us was the full refrigerator and microwave. This was a wonderful surprise. Thanks to the welcome desk staff Lily Aubrey and Haley Maples. They made our welcome and stay wonderful. They were great.

I paid for a hotel suite and I felt like it was nothing sweet about it.. the pull out couch had a big brown stain on it and I had to ask the front desk for sheets blankets and pillows to set that up.. the last guest left they soda in the fridge so that just tells me they never cleaned the mini fridge.

We didn’t even get to utilize this hotel. We saw that they were “pet friendly” and booked the reservation as we were within 35 minutes from this hotel. It was booked through Expedia but I was confident in Holiday Inn as we’ve stayed in these hotels for years. We got there with our two small dogs and were refused as there was a stringent “no pet” policy. Only service animals. I wish I had seen that represented in the information. It was not clearly stated and only “service animals” were allowed. Expedia went to bat for us as the hotel already had our $200. They will not give it back. As far as I am concerned, they STOLE our money. I will never use Holiday Inn or any related hotels from this group again. Shame on you for taking our hard earned money and profiting on it. Absolutely disgusted with this.

The rooms were filthy me and my grandchildren were very unsatisfied the one room smelt like urine and we had to change it. I ordered takeout and we had to throw all the food away. The second room was just as bad and they changed us to a 3 room and after that, I got so fed up because it was filthy and I said please I just want my money back. I asked him to please go in and check to see that I am not lying. He refused to look and he told me if I don’t like it I should leave very rude. Very filthy urine disgusting hair everywhere. Those shampoo bottles were used and there was dirt all over them no towels it was just horrible and very horrible experience. I told housekeeping there was no shower curtain and we couldn’t take a shower and it was so horrible. I’ve never in my life been to a place like that ever in my life.

The staff knows how to take care of the customers. Charlie at the receiving and Jonathan while leaving the facility are the best.

Visited the property during the July 4 holiday, during the check-in the supervisor was very nice and welcome. He gave me a very good suggestion around the area and where I can watch the fireworks. Overall the experience was very good.

My only complaint is that the spa was cold

Staff were friendly. Reasonable price and great location. The spacious pool and sauna were unexpected, and the best part of my stay.

This place is fantastic, we have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Rooms are clean, staff is professional and kind, the breakfast option is great because they have plenty of options for kids and adults.

Clean family friendly excellent location to relax staff is pleasant and I loved it .

Breakfast was great. The ladies doing the breakfast were very nice.
