This "historic" hotel is a joke. The suite rooms have a portable AC unit, the room smelled like my grandma's house (which makes sense since this was a retirement home before it was a hotel), the bathroom was insanely tiny for a 600sqft room and extremely uncomfortable. Besides the convenience to downtown, this hotel is not worth the rate. They took a historic retirement home building and turned it into a hotel with as little effort as possible.

Delightful hotel. Our room was actually a double connected to a single with not one but TWO bathrooms. Granted that the 2 small bathrooms together would make one regular size bath. It was very clean, quiet, with comfortable bed. Local coffee provided. It has old world charm with modern convenience and a great downtown location.

It was a nice space but the lobby smelled bad and a huge pipe burst so the whole hotel lost water overnight and we couldn't use the bathroom or shower until like 1030am. Not the hotels fault and they did get it fixed pretty quickly, but didn't make for the best stay. Staff was friendly

Hotel and staff were great. Only issue was a broken water pipe created some closures to amenities we were expecting and looking forward too. No fault of the hotel just a disappointment to have bar and restaurant, plus social area closed. We will try to venture back to Hotel Leo next summer and hope to experience all the extras we missed out on this time.

Hotel is beautiful. Room was spacious and comfortable, the only thing that wasn't great was that it was next to the patio and the door was very loud everytime people went in and out (it's slam hard right on the other side of the wall from the bed) and the only window was covered in frosted window cling so I couldn't see outside at all. Housekeeping was weirdly consistent (bed made one day, but the next, glasses/utensils never washed, only part of the coffee replenished, all towels replaced even when hung up), but the room was clean.

This is an older historic hotel which has been updated but keeps it's charm. It looked like they have nice jazz music and other pub events but these were not open the Monday night we stayed. We did walk to dinner nearby. Downtown Bellingham is still recovering from Covid so not all is lively. But the hotel had active security, great parking, and I felt completely safe. Our room was actually a two room suite - pretty funky and small but all that we needed and with charm. The foam beds could use improvement, esp be easier to get in and out of.
