La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cleveland Macedonia

Fridge didn't close properly. Pool was cloudy (needed chemicals) hot tub was foamy (needed chemicals) had to go to front desk to get pool towels.

The room did not smell good. The best way to describe it was stinky feet or old cheese. And the bathroom had its own set of stinky smells, mildew and something sour. Half the outlets didn’t work. The dresser drawers were broken in a way that was really annoying. They couldn’t close. The pool was also dirty with visible dirt or mold spots all over the place. The staff was not very friendly. The vending machines didn’t work. There were many times there was no one at the front desk to help. Probably the worst thing was how seriously uncomfortable the pullout bed was. You could feel every bars jamming into you. I hated that there was not housekeeping during our 3 day stay. They told us to put the towels and trash outside in the hallway and then took a long time to retrieve those things, making it feel even more dirty and messy. Having one elevator is crazy! One of the only redeeming offerings was breakfast. The waffle maker is top notch and we did enjoy our breakfasts each morning. The biscuits and coffee were tasty as well and I like that coffee was available all day and not just in the morning. All that being said, this was by far the most affordable place I could find that had everything I needed. Though the experience was so bad that I would not consider ever staying here again.

They are very nice

The room had a bad smell and furnishings were worn. The bath fan did not work contributing to the musky smell. There wasn’t enough bath towels for our family of four and when we asked for more they only had pool towels for us. Some of the towels had old stains. On the plus side the breakfast was good and had lots of choices.

The room was not clean at all. I found an old grilled hot dog and a chocolate-covered ice cream cone on the floor. The carpet was dirty and I keep my shoes on so that says a lot. Despite being a non-smoking room, it smelled strongly of smoke. The overall cleanliness and condition were far below standard, and the customer service was disappointing. I had booked for two nights but chose to leave after the first. The room did not meet my expectations and was a complete waste of money.

The halls had not been vacuumed and were extremely dirty— with several large stains on the rugs —One wonders if they did not have enough help. The staircase down actually was clean and that was carpeted too. Our room on the fourth floor was large and actually fairly clean, but the bathroom stunk and there was a rolled up dirty piece of paper by the toilet We were encouraged when we came in because the outside looked pretty nice, beautiful flowers and the person checking us in was very kindly and there was the easy online check-in through text. It also was fairly noisy, but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

Breakfast is bed. Room is bed

Bed had stains, bare bones amenities in-room, beds were hard and small. Room had bits of garbage in corner. Netflix and other channels available on TV. Continental breakfast was good, and lobby looks and feels comfortable.

Only bad part was the automatic light that came on every time someone got up during the night to use the bathroom.

Needs some renovations. Thorough cleaning would have been much appreciated. Staff was friendly.

Staff was friendly but no maintenance has been done for years. Bed mattress worn out. Smoke detector hanging from wiring. Hall, elevator and lobby were dirty from high traffic and no cleaning. Breakfast was free but very few options.

Hotel very nice, clean, friendly staff. Sketchy neighborhood and mediocre breakfast Maybe add some real oatmeal with brown sugar instead of the instant kind, with toppings like nuts and berries. Also more fresh fruits like bananas.

Love to stay at this hotel, very clean and very pleasant staff. Highly recommend !

The location is very convenient for going to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The room is clean, but the hallway has strong smell.

Our experience was amazing. The staff was so kind, the room comfortable and spotless. Our dogs were very happy as well. The breakfast was perfect, the coffee nice and strong. We will stay there again if needed

Pool was so cloudy you couldn’t see in it. Clumps of hair floating around. Hot tub has slime built up all over inside edge. Both of our beds had blood and other unidentifiable stains on the bedspreads, sheets and bed liner. Bathroom has dirt built up in corners and smear/dirt marks all over walls. Towels had clumps of hair on them. Hallway carpet’s extremely dirty and dirty handprints all over in the elevator

This Hotel needs to be “updated”. It was quite, breakfast was good. Staff was great. Just needs an upgrade ( new carpet, paint, ect.) to match the price of the room’s. Beds were comfortable and no bugs, a plus!

Property inside needed some work. Supposed to be smoke free smelled smoke in the elevators. Smoke detector was falling off the wall and sheets had some stains on them. But you get what you pay for.

Shower barely functional as nozzle on hose would only hang at 90 degree angle. AC noisy and underpowered. Breakfast featured omelettes with egg around unmelted slice of American cheese. La Quinta has cornered the market in charging a bit more than Hotel 6 or the like but not offering any higher quality. Not awful, just poor.
