We have been staying at this hotel for almost 20 years. The property is conveniently located for walkable restaurants. If going on the mountain, the bus stop is across the street. Love their large jacuzzi. The rooms are large. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are soft. The bathroom area may be a little dated, but large. They are renovating. Would highly recommend.

Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival at the property. Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. Guests are advised to check local road conditions/closures before travel with the California Department of Transportation at www.dot.ca.gov or by calling 800-427-7623.

The front desk clerk could not start the Roku TV system.
I a request a partial refund of the room rental rate. Also,
we had to change rooms due to clogged toilet that could not be cleared--no maintenance person on duty--the plunger was not the heavy duty model.

The fire alarm battery chirped all night long. It was too high to easily reach so we called the front desk who said unfortunately the maintenance crew had left and there was nothing they could do. After being up all night and contacting the front desk multiple times the next day, the front desk person finally climbed on chairs and tables to pull the battery. When checking out, we asked to be compensated for our terrible stay and were told since we booked through expedia there was nothing they could do. We also called the manager multiple times over the next few days and after saying he would look into it and wanted to help, he never returned our calls again.

Location is near restaurants, complementary breakfast is pretty good. Property is a little outdated but very clean. We always stay here when visiting Mammoth.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was good and filling. The staff were friendly but our TV didn't work and they couldn't fix it so we had to change our room into another room right after we had moved everything into our room. Then our key cards didn't work to get into our room, so we had to have a staff member to let us back into our room and then had to wait for awhile before it was fixed. So we didn't leave our room until we had new card keys.
It happens, hopefully they'll get these problems fixed very soon and they renovate the rooms in the near future.

This was a better stay this week. We had a more up to date room on the first floor. A newer Samsung TV that was larger made the stay nicer.
For the bad do expect straggly hairs on the bedding a floors each stay.
As others have noted we had a portable heater in the room as the actual heater was broken.
Of course the hot tub is in need of repair.
