The room was gigantic and clean, the only thing ( and I usually don’t care about this) was that I had no shampoo or body wash etc and that was pretty lacking in the room. But 10/10 would totally stay here again! Very cheap for the quality, it was great!

Hotels.com verified review

It used to be that Hotels.com was helpful when you had problems with a hotel. Not so much anymore. This hotel was dingy and dirty. The first thing my son and I saw was a big dead fly on the bed, in addition to his two living friends buzzing around in the room. The lamp was very rusty, the whole place looked like it needed a good scrubbing. I was not going to stay in this place. I left with my son and booked another hotel and we stayed there instead. I called to cancel the second night of this booking (it was for two nights) and they refused even though I was not staying there. I could understand them not refunding the first night's fee but keeping the fee for the second day when I wasn't staying there is criminal. And Hotels.com I believe was complicit in the whole thing. They lied to me that the manager of the hotel was not there, and so no decision could be made until 11:00AM the next day. As though telephones and email don't exist. They used the same playbook on me a few months ago when I booked a room for my wife for 3 nights and she ended up only needing two. They kept saying that the manager had to make the final decision but they weren't physically at the hotel, and of course they never showed up in time to cancel the second day. I don't think I will use Hotels. com anymore. I've been a customer for over 10 years, but I can't believe they would keep money for service that was not provided.

First of all the people checking me in had an attitude which I didn’t appreciate. Couldn’t understand her and couldn’t hear her through the glass. Homeless were at one of the doors! Someone was banging on one of the doors to let him in and when I tried to call front desk phone had no dial tone! Came to find out from other people their phone didn’t work either. The whole hotel smells like SKUNKWEED! And I find it funny that there is a sign in the room that says No vape, No smoking and No WEED! Everytime I flushed the toilet the stopper wouldn’t go down so I had to manually push it down! The light in the bathroom in my room 132 was full of bugs! And the day I checked in there were 4 cop cars at the door! Cop told me he wouldn’t let his mother stay there! I am from Pennsylvania and just thought the Red Roof was a good place to stay! Never again! Very disappointed! Asked for a refund and she just walked away from me.

Have to stay at this hotel, because of my situation & that it’s close to my job, but no matter what when you have a do not disturb sign on your door that means don’t come in my room I’ve reported that my personal towels and rags that I brought went missing but no one seems to know which house keeper came in my room. One of them was in my room, because when I got off work and came to take a shower there were no towels or rags in my room at all, and the person at the front desk kept saying ma’am no one came in your room. So I say what they just magically disappeared, because I’m really confused at this point & this was last month and I still wasn’t compensated. Now here’s the second complaint again I have stated I don’t need room service, because I clean my own room & this is another reason why I don’t want or need any of them in my room. They don’t clean rooms after 4pm, but I am video proof. Again this is the second incident now once again some one came in my room again and let me throw this out there my son don’t drink, I complained that my bottle of liquor was stolen out of my room and the lady at the front desk says ask your son what happened to it I stated I did and he said mom it was still sitting where you left it on the lamp same amount I don’t drink why you asking me. So with this I talk back to the person and told her tell whoever was in my room to stay out it was a DND sign on door and they still entered, how I know this fresh towels and rags on bed.

The stay was ok however the maids are able to come into the rooms whenever they want when tenants aren’t there they do not replenish your linens and towels in a timely manner and the rules are sort of extreme upon check out they told me who had 3 children in my room because one sheet and one rag had a little poo from my baby that I could not get back my deposit and I had to pay for damages because they had to take an extra step to clean the sheet and one rag and told me I should be happy because they were being “generous” by giving me back half my deposit because the maid had to do a little extra work to clean the sheet because they don’t use new things they just wash and reuse the same things in the room. They also told me it’s my fault for not taking my own pictures they also went into the room before I was even done moving things out of the room check out is at 11 they came into my room about 930 and when I came back into my room at that time to make sure I clean and make sure things were right before I checked out she asked me why was I there. But I hadn’t even checked out yet and she was already taking pictures of the room when I arrived the sheets had burn holes as if someone was smoking and burned the blanket and the closet was already broken so I could barely use it.

It was horrible. We tried tolerating for the night but the smell was so bad that we had to switch hotels the next day. My daughter was sneezing the whole night almost having an allergic reaction to the smell in the room. The next morning the water was shut off saying there was an issue with the water pump. We asked for a refund after the first night since we weren’t going to stay the second night they said no. They also don’t have a room service number or a customer service number. They didn’t even have the owners number. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Spend more money and choose a better hotel than this one. Front desk doesn’t seem to have any experience.
