The rugs are worn down and the house needs a paint job throughout. Besides that, the place was awesome. Oh, the downstairs door to the bathroom did not lock.

The place was very clean, it had a kitchen / fridge and all of that making it optimal for people staying for a few days of visit. Within 30 minutes walk, you reach the Capitol which I think is close. I had a rather negative experience with the room though. The key code provided was not working and I was told no problem, will be back with a new key. 30 minutes later, I can the front desk and end to have someone different who answers me and felt even annoyed telling me to be patient and it will take a few more minutes. 45 minutes later I call again. This time I am told the general manager is the only one who can generate a hew code and she drove home which is 40 minutes from the place. I had to wait again another 15-20 minutes before the guy comes with a new code (which again did not work) then eventually we got the right one. Shall I have been told in the first place that it would take more than an hour, I would have planned differently - false information made me miss a business dinner. Transparency please!

Overall, it’s a place to crash if you need one. Checked in, guy was nice. Instead of key cards they give you a 7 digit code to the door. Apparently 4 digits isn’t secure enough. Ripped the metal flashing clear off the stairs by dragging a bag over it. Check in guy didn’t even react. I think the place used to be an apartment or something. Comes with silverware in pencil cups and clear plastic pizza cutter, never seen one of those before. You can see straight into other rooms. Really odd setup. Looked like aliens tried to guess what a human hotel room looks like. Fold out couch was mangled. Idk if kids were jumping on it or if Norbit spent the night there. They repaired it with whatever material casts for broken arms are made out of. Couldn’t find tv remote. Got one from the front desk guy. Toilet flushed a few times but stopped working the next morning. Shower was super low pressure and leaked from the hose. Place was cleanish and didn’t smell too weird. Worked for us since we only stayed the one night and it was cheap for DC. Probably won’t stay again unless we’re in a tight spot.

Got the wrong information days before. Had to switch rooms multiple times because of broken appliances. Entire family was woken up at midnight by banging from a broken fridge. Overall, terrible experience and manager was unhelpful to resolve or take responsibility.

Do not stay here! When I checked in on Friday, our room was filthy(pics taken if needed). We asked to be moved to another room, but none available. I was told by the front desk that the manager would comp us because of this and was told that a manager would be in the next day to talk to us. No one ever came to talk to us. On Saturday, I seen on my bank account where I was double charged $532.22, which put my account in the negative. Not a great experience when you're out of town. When I told the front desk about this other issue, I was assured that a manager would get back to be, because this isn't the first time this has happened to someone. The front desk supposedly gave the manager my contact information on Saturday, again I never heard anything. So yesterday(4/21), I called the hotel. The front desk put me on a long 8 min hold to find the manager, then the phone was hung up. Me and my boyfriend called back, with no answer. So a voicemail was sent. This is very unprofessional and you don't mess with someone's money like that or put them in a dirty room, especially with children. The manager ended up calling me that evening and asked for the pictures and that she would call me right back. She never called back. I am very displeased by the service and the overall hotel experience at Reside Navy Yard in Washington DC. Unable to post the pics here. But they were sent to corporate.

Manger was unprofessional and nasty. Poor customer service there and absolutely no help. We didn’t even check in and stay there because of how rude they were. 30 mins passed check in time and our room still wasn’t ready. Since we left and didn’t stay we wanted a refund and they refused us. I don’t recommend this place at all.

First, the good: Reside is in a great location and the staff are very kind and helpful, especially Aaliyah at the front desk. Our two-bedroom suite was very large and reasonably clean. The kitchen was well-appointed. It was also great having laundry and a dishwasher in the unit. The not as good: I paid extra for early checkin, but the room wasn’t ready when I arrived. When I was able to check in an hour later, the door code didn’t work. Aaliyah had to let me in with a key. The door code issue was fixed later that afternoon. The next morning, I discovered the shower in my bathroom wasn’t working. Since there are two bathrooms in the suite, this wasn’t the end of the world, but still. I let Aaliyah know and she had someone fix it while I was at work. That evening, I discovered neither the living room floor lamp nor the TV were working. I also noticed the screws had popped out of the wall for one of the bedside lamps. And, despite there being little signs in both bedrooms instructing us to enjoy a white noise machine, only one bedroom had one. I let Aaliyah know. She said she would look into the issues except for the white noise machine, because that was an extra perk and the unit only comes with one. This was unfortunate, because the staff room was across the hall from our suite and staff like to have loud conversations in there, with the door open, at all hours. The second white noise machine would have been helpful. When I came home from work, the bedside lamp was r

Unfortunately, my stay at the Reside Navy Yard was filled with issues from the start. Upon arrival, the hotel refused to honor my prepaid Expedia reservation, and I was forced to pay an additional considerable amount while Expedia attempted to resolve the issue with management. In the end, I was only refunded the original reservation cost, leaving me out the rest with no resolution from the hotel. Throughout the stay, none of the door codes worked. If you left your room, someone at the front desk had to physically let you back in. Each time we asked when the system would be fixed, we got a different answer from the staff. One team member even accused me of using the wrong code, despite my showing her the email from the hotel with the code included. She insisted they don’t send codes by email, implying I was fabricating it. The in-room washer and dryer seemed like a great amenity, until we discovered that the dryer didn’t work. After doing a full load of laundry, we reported the issue only to be told, casually, that “a part has been ordered.” No signage or warning was provided, and we were left with wet clothes and no way to dry them. To be fair, one young man at the front desk truly did his best to help, but he was completely overwhelmed—juggling a constant line of frustrated guests alone. Overall, this stay was stressful, expensive, and poorly managed. I wouldn’t return or recommend this property until they’ve addressed these serious operational issues.

I don't understand all the positive reviews for this place. At the start, it was just little inconvenient things. We requested (and paid for) early check in. The request was approved. As we are getting in the car, we get an email saying they can no longer honor the request. Ok, whatever... We find out at checkout they never removed the charge for it, though. We get to the hotel, parking is impossible. We go to check in at 3:45 and the room isn't ready. The three or four people after us could all check in to rooms that were ready, though... 4:45 our room was finally ready. They give us the combo to our room and we head over. When we get to the room, the door combo doesn't work. I head back to the lobby, three other rooms all come back with the same problem. They give us another combo - doesn't work either. That's when we're told "oh, the pad doesn't work on that room, here's the key". You didn't know that when we were there?? In the room, the bedroom was super tiny. The windows in the room look DIRECTLY INTO OTHER BEDROOMS. The smoke detector was disconnected. The bed is practically on the ground. The walls need patch/paint. There is no cable tv - you must log in to your own streaming services to use the tv. Then, worst of all, the water in the room reaked of rotten egg. The kitchen and bathroom sink and showers - all of them. It was DISGUSTING. Oh, and they put a large hold on your credit card for a week for "incidentals".

Very comfortable option for home-like stay. Apartment was stocked with everything necessary and everything worked pretty well. Team worked to meet most requests made but could tell still working out some of the kinks of being a new place. Parking free on street parking and was abundant. Park for dog located across the street, along with pet groomers and day care.
