My state was very nice. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Lots of remodeling going on, but the did give me info on it when I checked in.p

Great place to stay right on the water

Hotel was under construction/ repairs. Lots of noise and mess. The room had new carpet and furniture that was good

We had a wonderful time, We loved how big the room was especially cause we had a service dog with us so it was perfect. Couple things needed in the rooms was a trash can. There was not 1 trash can in our room nor a clock, microwave would have been nice and no chair for the desk. The room was very clean and we can’t wait to come back.

Overall, our stay was pretty good. We checked in, got our key and walked through the construction zone to the elevator. Our 7th floor room was inaccessible. I had to go back down to the desk to get a new key. That one didn't work either. We were then told that the maintainance man had to be called because the batteries were dead in the lock. The maintenance man came, changed the batteries and the key still didn't work. You'd think by this point we'd be offered a different room, right? Wrong! We were let into our room by the maintenance man, then given the master key by the front desk staff. By the next morning our key still didn't work! So, we were finally moved to a different room by Patty! She was great, by the way!! The second issue was not having a microwave in the room. I'm not sure why anyone would think that it makes sense to have ONE microwave in a hotel with hundreds of people, but it's probably one of the stupidest things ever! Having it be accessible 24 hours means nothing. If I get in late and I'm hungry, I have to go downstairs to heat my food up. What if I am alone with small children? I have to bring all of them with me just feed them! It's just stupid! Overall, the hotel is nice. The rooms are huge and once construction is completed, I'm sure it's going to be beautiful. Oh yeah, the ridiculous parking fee was waved. Paying for parking where you're already paying to stay is ludicrous!

Our room was new! New carpet, fixtures and bedding so that was great. The hotel is a construction zone recovering from a hurricane which left hallways and one working elevator quite dusty. It didn't bother us but... A nice restaurant was within walking distance. We would stay there again.

Like a lot of hotels in this area, this hotel is a little past its prime. Everything is clean, but run down. If you're expecting an up to date room, this is not the place. Still, it's RIGHT on the beach and the room was spacious with a great view of the ocean.

The color scheme made the room look bigger. The bed was extremely comfortable. The Costello Del Sol had more conveniences, i.e. microwave, coffee maker. Need more choices for breakfast, hot breakfast. Need another chair inside guest room. Fridge too small and low. Front desk staff lacked knowledge of operation of telephone and tv. Housekeeping staff very rude. Asked for change of towels told by housekeeper it wasn’t her responsibility because she had another room to clean. She did get the towels for us. Pool boy was vacuuming the pool with patrons in it. This task is usually done in the morning when the dirt has settled. I discovered on my on the QR code which outlines room services. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Renovations were definitely an improvement. Thank you, Spark by Hilton at Ormond Beach.

The hotel not is dirty but is uglier. Elevator and water service was stopped for plus 10 hours.

Sophisticated

Staff was nice. Roaches found upon arrival in the bathroom. Our last night we found one in the bed. Pretty disturbing when checking out and using a flashlight to look for something that fell on the floor and saw a lot of very small roaches. Elevators also not working.

On the first morning of our two night stay around 11:30am, someone began trying to forcefully enter our room. After multiple attempts, the door lock finally ripped out of the door. When it opened, it was one of the managers LJ and a maintenance guy Jack. They NEVER knocked!!!! Rather they forcefully entered the room we were paying for scaring my wife and three minor children. SHAMEFUL!!!!

Their website was very misleading, it showed there are microwaves in the room but there wasn’t any, showed they had a restaurant but they didn’t, only a continental breakfast if you can call it that. No lightning at the pool so no swimming at dark, but to me that was a hazard. We were to have a ocean view but because of the elevator not working they gave upgrades to some before we checked in, so others got the ocean view room.

Will definitely come back!
