SpringHill Suites Southside was a decent option for a quick trip. The suite was roomy and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. The location is convenient but can be a little noisy at night due to the rail road.

The hotel staff were so accommodating. Room was large and comfortable. Morning breakfast was very good with a nice variety of foods.
This was my fault for not researching enough, but there was no pool for the children to enjoy and wasn't aware that there was a parking fee with taxes!

The property is right next to a busy railroad just 20 ft away from the window. Trains run every 10 minutes non-stop all over day/night with constant horn and thundering rolling sounds. Was not able to sleep even a min. Marriott charges extra for city/river views elsewhere. Likewise, hotel should explicitly mention that half the rooms are facing railroad and should offer discounts. At least, customers should be aware of this inconvenience upfront before staying.

Only issue was train tracks below room and trains on occasion blowing whistle. Not sure why they needed to, since they were either going into a tunnel or exiting the tunnel.
