Super 8 by Wyndham Cloverdale IN

Clean room,easy check in-out. TV didn't work - control was not paired correctly but when we told the front desk, we were told okay, nothing else.

Decent hotel, nothing bad to report but nothing exceptional.

Friendly staff and nice quiet room. Beds were comfy and the room was clean.

Front of the heating and cooling unit was filthy. Can’t believe that don’t see that or care. If you bumped into it your pants would be covered with filth. Also, there was sand in my bed. Come on!!

This is a very clean hotel. Muddy truck parking. Friendly staff. But the beds are like sleeping on rocks. Clean rooms very hard beds....

Coffee was left in coffee maker Did not offer clean towels for 2nd night of stay.

Property was clean, and comfortable. My issue was I reserved a non-smoking room, but the room had the strongest cigarette odor. It was late when I arrived, and I was extremely tired from travelling, so I didn't ask for another room, so not sure if they would have moved me or not.

I had not stayed in this area before. I normally just continue on to Terre Haute when visiting family. However since I had time, I decided to try to find the cemetery where my 3rd Gr-Grandparents are buried and this was the perfect spot to start from. My room was clean, bed firm and comfortable, TV very nice and a large selection of channels, WiFi available, several restaurants close. The front desk staff was very accomodating, helpful, kind and courteous. The pool area (although I did not use it) looked very nice, good size and I'm sure if I had had any of my Grandchildren with me, they would have enjoyed it!

I was traveling overnight with my wife & infant. I called the desk around 10pm to advise of timing, the evening attendant was rude and short with me regarding a late check in time(2:30a). He stated they run the EOD report around then and that I may be labled as no show, and still charged. On Expedia's website the it says check in time MAX is 6am. Wyndham's Corporate policy also states the same. I asked what I am supposed to do to assure I would have a room and he said he would tell his night receptionist that we would be here about that time, but he could not assure we would have a room upon arrival. I then asked who I can contact, and stated that I would contact Expedia, he then hung up on me. I called back and asked if he hung up on me and he said "Don't threaten to call my corporate of Expedia" and hung up on me again. I called back a third time and stated that I would like the name/number for his manager, he hung up a 3rd time. I called back and asked "how am I supposed to do this?" He gave very limited information, I asked what time he is off so I can call the oncoming receptionist and he stated midnight. I called then and all was ok. Hotel was otherwise dirty and smelled like dirty carpet. New vinyl floors in rooms, not caulked to tub base, water gets under that. Unsanitary. Not sure how they get the rating they get, probably paid for. BEWARE.

Didn't have a chance to eat breakfast, always ran out of stuff.
