Super 8 by Wyndham Richmond Midlothian Turnpike

Unfortunately, my stay has been overshadowed by poor response to correcting the clogged toilet sink. After first night, I asked the cleaning lady outside mybroom, around noon, to please clean the room as well as investigate the sink but nothing was done. Not even the room was cleaned. I returned 2 AM too tired to do anything so next morning I informed the front desk and yet nothing was done when I returned 2 AM in the night again too tired to do anything. Also, fyi, they don't have any iron or ironing board in the room either.

Once arrived my room had been given away and they ended up giving me a suite supposely with a king bed and needed 2 beds. Room smelled like they had smoked there and they said it couldnt be because it was a non smoke room.

I didn't expect much, but it was way worse. The hotel smelled like a weed dispensary, we found in our non-smoking room an unfinished cigarette with ashes on a window sill. Carpet appeared not to be vacuumed, missing TV remote. Overall not very clean. The room was very noisy, you can hear people walking above. Beds were very soft and uncomfortable, I barely slept. We came to breakfast at 6:45am and all that was there were basically 3 bagels and DIY waffles. Coffee and juice dispenser. When I asked in front (after waking up the staff) if there is more, I was told that still is all. We stayed just one night. Stay away unless you are on limited budget.

The OUTSIDE of the property is very nicely maintained. BUT...the inside (lobby, hallways and even our room) smelled like marijuana and cigarettes as soon as you walk in. People (possibly residents?) hanging around outside. The mattress is sitting on a rusted metal platform that made noise any time we moved. And on top of all of that...some guests (residents?) in the room next to us got into a shouting and cussing match. The police came out. Turns out one person involved is a felon and had a gun. I think people live in this hotel.

It was a good stay I didn’t like that they were having problems with the lights

Power was out most of Friday night and Saturday night. Saturday from 430pm-11pm blackout no power! No emergency lights!! No warning no follow up nothing! This is unprofessional and been calling for days but no one will answer or they say call back tomorrow when manager is in! Worst experience ever!!

Power went out. We were on second floor accessible room, so no elevators. When came time to come down front staff nowhere to be found, asked the gal behind the desk where the clerk went that knew we needex help getting wheelchair down was , she just looked at me, like i was speaking to noone,

Affordable

Great staff and great location

We had a good time. We lounged around and did exactly what we intended to do.. nothing!! Watched some good t.v., eat take-out and snugged up!

I like the people

The beds weren’t made, and they had plenty roaches

Just dirty, disgusting, and full of roaches.

Quite peaceful

The room was infested with roaches everywhere! While shower there were roaches crawling up the walls. Behind my bed was a roach motel with about 40 roached on it. Had to throw out my left over dinner because there were roaches in the the refrigerator and freezer. I will without a doubt NEVER EVER stay in this dump again.

No lights or towels for two days

It's very convenient for my work

Place was bare minimum. Roach was in the tub. Heat didn't work in my room. We survived the night!
