SureStay Hotel by Best Western Morganton

There was undisclosed construction, the air conditioning did not work, and there was mold in the shower

The staff was nice. The room was okay. But it was very noisy. Thin walls and loud kids and TVS . The bed was so hard that it hurt to sleep on it. The pillows were so small and thin it was impossible to get comfortable. On a card in the room it describes the breakfast as having all these wonderful things to eat. I went to get my food and there were some white bread a couple muffins cold cereal but no milk. The fridge was empty. I asked for some fresh fruit and he said sorry it’s all gone and we forgot to buy some. There were apples with brown spots on them and bad spots. I ask where the gravy and biscuits were and he said that they had never offered that. But the card in my room said they did as well as a huge selection of pastries and fresh fruit. Worst breakfast I ever saw. We left and went to Cracker Barrel. Oh, they are remodeling. Boxes everywhere. Definitely need some help

This hotel was completely disappointing. It was unclean and the service was poor. There was even a place in the bathroom that looked like urine which had not been cleaned from the previous stay. The breakfast bar was supposed to open at 6am. As at 7am, it was not open.We will never stay there again.

The staff was very kind and apologetic when I found a bedbug in my bed the last night. No discount was offered but I was moved down the hall to another room. They were throwing away mattresses during my stay, so I assume there was a recent infestation and they were dealing with it. Perhaps I was just there for the tail end of it. Nonetheless, some kind of discount would have been nice.

Cleanliness was just OK. No coffee available at breakfast due to the coffee maker being out of service.

They did NOT have any power OR water when I got there. They had certainly not let people know that fact. I did not stay after driving for 3 hours. I finally found another hotel and got into a room now, at 3:30 A.M. I've never been more disappointed. I should not be held accountable to pay for this booking when I did not stay there. The managers told me they were only open for people with extreme situations, like there home had been destroyed.

Cleanes, spacious. Bed was excellent. Didnt like - poor staffing, inadequate morning breakfast, not caring enough for patrons. Staff in check in at front desk wasnt helpful or friendly. Acted cold and aloofed.

The room had a jetted tub with plenty of hot water and powerful jets. I had a good night's rest in a bed with a memory foam mattress. Bed and bathroom linens were clean. Everything worked. It was quiet. Most of all, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely consider future stays at this hotel.

I had booked a room and already paid for it. When I showed up to check in they told me they had overbooked and didn't accept my payment so they didn't have a room for me. No notification, no offer of any kind, no sorry, no nothing. Just that I needed to contact Expedia for a refund. A refund because i had already paid for my room and was told there's another hotel up the road, ONLY because i asked what I'm supposed to do now. I travel a lot and have never had this happen and to be handled with so little care or even a notification BEFORE I arrived at the hotel. Awful.
