The Cole

We understand we stayed during the shoulder season, but we were surprised to find no ice available in the ice machine; and never could find staff at the bar to assist. That said, the staff communicated well via text, which we appreciated. The room was clean, but there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke. At first, I wasn’t sure, but once I got home, I realized everything had absorbed that faint smoke odor. However, all in all, the stay was good. The price point was great, the room was clean and spacious, the pool was lovely, and the TV system was nice. We had everything we needed, and the staff was responsive via text. **A few suggestions for improvement:** * Address the lingering smoke smell in Room 207 * Staff the bar, especially for basic needs like ice * Improve the water pressure and/or shower head

It was just average. Nothing special about it. I never had contact with anyone who worked there. They just weren't there. It was all through your phone, which I hated. The bed was okay, but I kept hitting my shin on the corner of the wood frame because it stuck out farther than the mattress. Lots of things were just a little bit broken.

Good and very clean hotel. Comfortable. Good pool and with lots of chairs and loungers and the music they play is great. The ONLY thing is the AC unit is really loud. But they do provide ear plugs

Great stay but can be loud as our room was next to the parking gate so it would slam loud and we would feel it in the room

Overall was a comfortable stay. A bit further out of downtown Palm Springs. Nice towels and toiletries. Check in a bit awkward, as mostly on-line.

Cassie was responsible and sweet. Met Freddie and bummed my friends had reservations for restaurants for my whole stay, but next time for sure. The room was in good order and clean...and beautifully decorated!!! Just lovely! Everything worked (AC, shower, TVs, etc). Great great! Please though put more tape on the light fixure near the window, the lamp and shade are too pretty to be all droopy! Thanks again!

I love the retro vibe

The king suit was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Temperature of the salt water pool and spa were excellent. The pool tiles need to be cleaned.

I found the hotel listing and confirmed a reservation roughly an hour before check-in time which was at 4:00 pm. We arrived at 4:15pm and found a kind woman who informed us that we didn't have a reservation because it wasn't in the system. After locating our reservation in a different system, she sent the check in process to my phone via text, where I was prompted to use what was effectively a self check-in system. In that system, I then had to return to my truck to get the license plate number for the paid parking. When I voiced my frustration with the system, I was kindly met with "everyone else had this done at 9am". We got to the room which was still being cleaned for another half hour. For our wait, we were given a couple complimentary glasses of wine. We entered the room and found an odd space that was missing towel racks, hand soap, a second kurig coffee pod, and the ability to close the blinds fully. We went to the pool and grabbed a drink from the bar, and instantly noted a comedy of errors. There's so much potential with this hotel, so it's tough to see this covid era system in place that genuinely doesn't need to exist.

Everything from start to finish was perfect. Check in was very efficient and easy. All staff members were friendly, professional, and welcoming. Excellent!

The shower was amazing. The area was pretty quiet and with the exception of when I had to go to my event I was able to walk everywhere

Rooms are furnished retro style. Everything was clean and updated...in a retro kind of way. Management was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The Cole was a hidden gem on our recent Palm Springs trip. We chose it because it was far more affordable than staying in the downtown area, but it still had that downtown boutique charm. It was clean, quiet, the pool area was nice, and we great customer service from Damien the manager whenever we needed anything. The drive to the downtown area was just minutes. I'm very glad we chose to stay at The Cole!
