My room was very clean and comfortable. The area was convenient, walking distance to 6th Street, or restaurants in the area. The sound at night from 6th Street isn’t bad, plus they provide you with earplugs to get a good night’s sleep. The pool is a bit small, but the lounging area was nice and the drinks were 10/10. The staff was super helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The Tommie Austin is a cute hotel located in downtown Austin near 6th Street. I was excited about my stay based on the online pictures. My excited ended quickly. Cute online photos are not enough for me to stay again! The hotel rooms are very small and the bathroom arrangement is awful! The toilet is located in the shower! Yes… in the shower! Just terrible! Your feet get wet every time you use the restroom after someone finishes showering. The lighting in the room is not functional/ practical. Only one switch for the one light in the room. So if you need to use the toilet during the night and need light, you light up the entire room. The entire room design is simply not practical making your stay uncomfortable. Austin is not New York City! Why the cramped room? I will not be back!

This was our 3rd time to stay at this hotel. The location is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our room is always clean and comfortable.

bugs a dirty room with lots of gnats no upgraded room for the inconvenience instead moved to another room of similar quality with hair in the shower and a clumps of maybe left over soap in the shower disgusting and disappointing

The fact that you can share amenities with The Thompson. Number of restaurants on the property. Very convenient location. Pool area is very nice but the pool looked like it needed to be cleaned more regularly.

the room is super super tiny. there is really no space for anything. there is no parking garage and valet only. valet is very pricey. i parked my rental car for 2 days and it almost the same amount as the security deposit. the room does not have a mini fridge. the mini bar thing is designed to store cold things but not to store anything that needs refrigeration. the fact you have to go down to the front desk to checkout is very annoying. i don’t remember the last time i did that until today. the overall experience is below average. i will not stay here again

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff was friendly! It is close to one of the main streets with all the bars so it can be a bit loud but not too crazy.

Not sure where to start. The $60/day parking - ridiculous. The area around was unsafe. The restaurants in the hotel took way too long for simple drinks and food that came out tasting sub-par plus way overpriced for the quality. The beds were very uncomfortable. The noise was ridiculous. Should have save the money and found a Holiday Inn

this is a great spot. loved the pool and pool food/drink service. The martini bar was just lovely. Great food, drinks and music. The best Cesar salad I have ever had was in the Mexican food restaurant, Arriba Abajo, and their food was exceptional. You need to be really good friends to stay in the room together because of the open bathroom situation.

Staff was very friendly, especially the Valet staff. There were gnats all over our room. Sink doesn't drain well.

Great location in downtown Austin. Easy valet parking. Good pool and bar. Odd design in rooms, with the sink in the room, not in the bathroom- not to my taste. Overall I would recommend- staff are very friendly and helpful.
