WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham Charlotte - Arrowood

Not at all what we expected. Dirty rooms and poor property maintenance. We needed to switch rooms and the second room wasn't much better. First room was dirty, trash can had trash, tv on and bed not totally made up. Second room had trash bags outside (woke-up to that too), and a large panel on the wall leading to the a/c unit opened up and not able to close.

Received a call as we were 30 minutes away for check in to be notified that my room was sold out and they could accommodate me the following day

Our shower doors did not work, there was no dispenser for shampoo or conditioner and after asking 2x we were told the “hotel was out of shampoo”, making it seem like the worker just did not want to look for us. We went to an open next door room and took the shampoo out of that bathroom instead. The floor had previous guests hair scattered around, and we never received new towels or linens after 3 nights stay. Overall the hotel room felt very dirty.

Do not book here unless you're willing to risk a cancellation. They will accept your booking and take your payment but will cancel your reservation if someone already staying at the hotel asks to extend their stay. They also don't call or notify you of the cancellation, so once you drive 6 hours with your small children in the car you get there only to find out you have no where to stay and they will do absolutely nothing to help you. The front desk person assured me they had processed my refund, but now it's 3 days later and I had to call them back only to find out that was not correct and they never planned to give me my money back. 0/10, will never book with a WaterWalk again.

I don’t know who to blame management for not checking the upkeep of this location was the workers for not doing their job. when I checked in, got to the room did a walk-through dishes were left in the dishwasher while checking the bedding I found cigarette burn on the comforter I asked for them to bring up another comforter they brought me a damp one and asked me to dry it the next morning, the stairwell had pee on the steps and on the floor and read the groundsmen are not paying attention to cars, part or the conditions of the ground trash was left by the door stained sidewalks. Trash in the parking lot broke down cars, unattended shower, head, mold the hall on different days smell like either cigarettes or weed I hate to say it, but they need to start over with the staff. I will never come back to this location.

Probably not the best place you'd want to stay if you have kids. There is no pool on the property, and there was always someone in the parking lot smoking marijuana. The room itself was clean, and the staff was friendly. It served its purpose for my family for a 2 night stay, and if I had not already paid for the stay, I would have gone to another hotel. Not the worst hotel Ive stayed at, but I would not go back.

The employee who checked us in was not attentive and actually checked us in under someone else’s reservation. The next day, the issue was swiftly resolved by the manager who was kind and professional. The floor in our unit was not clean, and there were food items in the cupboards. There were only 2 pillows provided per room and the beds left comfort to be desired. With that said, the 2 bedroom suite was spacious and a great layout for this brief trip.

This property wasn’t what I expected.There was what looked to be dog pee in the elevator. It smelled like weed throughout property. Hard to sleep because of all the noise above and beside us. The beds slept horribly!! We also didn’t have a remote to work the tv. To say we paid as much as we did I expected it to be a little better.

This was by far the WORST hotel I've ever encountered! The front desk person, Lisa, was extremely inexperienced, very unprofessional, untrustworthy (she stated that she didn't even know the name of the hotel manager, which is Terica Wells, btw), and rude. My husband, who was working, made the reservation for me, our 7 year old, and family that was visiting with us. When I arrived to check-in, Lisa called her "manager" because the reservation was in my husband's name. They would NOT allow me to check in. She asked for his ID, he sent it. She asked to speak to him, so I called him. Dispite our addresses and credit cards being identical, and him confirming that he made the reservation for me, they refused to let me check-in! PLUS, they charged me for the PRE-PAID room they wouldn't let me check into! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Do NOT stay here! The staff is lame and management is horrible! Neither the front desk clerk nor the manager were helpful or respectful to our situation. Reading the reviews now, I can see that Terica Wells has received several non-favorable comments. She is definitely NOT the type of manager I would expect from a Wyndham property.

Nothing to like… Not worth the time to list everything that was below acceptable. Just don’t book a stay here. I knew better, but really really should have done better. Worse establishment I’ve stayed at in years.

Had to relocate rooms due to sliding bathroom door being off it's hinges.

I had a reservation for a 3 bedroom 2 bath & i got there and they have me a 2 bedroom. They said they ran out of 3 bederroms, they end up giving me a separate room with 1 bed but its not what we planned. & the floors were very dirty.

Smell

Best stay ever from corporate down to the onsite staff. Very clean, quiet but near everything you need. Will definitely be back!

Friendly staff but unorganized with little attention to detail. Our first room smelled of strong animal iron so they gave us another room that was mostly clean. Grounds and lobby smelled like weed. Didn’t feel really safe in the evening. Will not be booking here again and don’t recommend to others.
