Winter the Dolphins Beach Club, Ascend Hotel Collection

The property was amazing, but it came down to. I extended my stay an extra day paid in full upfront and then they locked me out of my room because they said there was a fee for resort that was not paid not by my problem. It’s just I hadn’t been to the front desk. I was in the same room that I was in so I wasn’t like leaving without it but to lock my door and then I have to be taken by personnel up to my room so that I can get my wallet out totally embarrassing, and very unprofessional of them

Front reception tried multiple times to charge me for parking when i did not have a car and told them so. I wish it would list in details that there is a conservation fee just would be nice to know so no surprises. The restaurant downstairs is what make the experience much better they were amazing

We enjoyed the property! Great ocean sight and lovely view. Rooms were a great size and everyone was great!

Hotel was ok the room ws lovely but the bathroom needed a clean toilet seat was grubby and tge seat needed changing we ask for a pool or beach view but got the parking lot quite noisy the air con was very loud so we had to turn it off All staff amazing and very helpful and friendly food was excellent ans all staff great

we told housekeeping would come and clear the room every other day they did not come at all. The trash built up, and it was pretty disgusting that no one would come to at least maintain the cleanliness.

The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, we were especially impressed by Mark, Al, Mel and Ashley who worked the beach area. The pool area was very clean and well attended to. We found the vast majority of the common areas to be clean but there are signs of wear and tear which is expected given the recent hurricane. We had a lovely view from our room (partial view) but we could easily see the Gulf. The room itself was fairly small, there was only 2 of us so we got by. It could use more storage space and night stands on both sides of the bed. The floors are constantly sandy because of the beach…it’s nice to have vinyl plank but there’s nothing to keep the sand from sticking to your feet in the room. The noise level in the room is notable… every door opening or people in hall can be heard. Shepards is just down the beach and their Saturday night band blares music until after 1am… and trust me it’s like you are standing directly in front of the bass. That’s not really Winter’s fault. It would be nice to have less light come through the interior door at night…there is a big gap at the bottom. But, with all that said, we liked it would stay there again… maybe not on the corner facing Shepards.

The office staff did a great job, Allen, Mel ,and Jace were just wonderful . They went above and beyond to make sure we were all taken care of. True southern hospitality,

We had a problem in our bathroom with the toilet clogging due to other room being clogged and human feces and water got all over the bathroom floor. I asked if we could get it cleaned and never was.

The walls are super thin so you can hear everything from the room next door. Hard to sleep. But a bit entertaining.

Lovely welcoming staff. Warm pool. Nice beach, good food.

The fact that the room was heated was excellent.

I stayed at Winter the Dolphin Resort and attended a workshop next door at the Hampton Inn. Excellent services at both properties. I had a little hiccup with my room and Juli went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and felt safe in my room. Every person I had contact with during my stay was fantastic, but Juli was the star of the show.

Overall: While the hotel offers a clean and comfortable environment with friendly staff, my recent stay fell short of expectations, particularly regarding the "Partial Sea View" room. Positives: The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was impeccably clean, with spotless bed linens, mattresses, and towels. The hotel is conveniently located in a prime area. The pool was well-maintained and comfortably heated, even on cooler days. Areas for Improvement: The "Partial Sea View" room did not meet my expectations. The balcony primarily overlooked a parking lot, with only a limited and obstructed view of the sea. This significantly detracted from the advertised experience. The proximity of the parking lot to the room resulted in frequent disturbances, including glare from car headlights and a lack of privacy due to insufficiently opaque curtains. Unfortunately, a technical issue with the room key resulted in a 30-minute delay, causing us to miss a pre-booked dinner cruise. Considering the advertised "Partial Sea View" and the inconveniences encountered, I believe the room rate was not commensurate with the value delivered. one other cary part is , the disabled internet feature on TV while they have smart TV in room. You can't mirror your phone or conenct to internet. Which is horrible. Recommendation: I recommend that the hotel re-evaluate the description and pricing of its "Partial Sea View" rooms to accurately reflect the actual view.

It was okay. The front desk staff was friendly, and it’s in a convenient location! However, with the hurricane recently, I’m assuming that contributed to the condition here which is we weren’t too worried about.

We had a great time here. The pool and hot tub were great, staff was friendly. Check in and out was very easy. Some stains on the sheets/pillowcases but otherwise was very clean.

We will come back for sure

Great hotel, its under renovation right now due to the hurricanes. Our stay overall was great, but due to the renovations, it gets very lout outside at about 6 am. I get they have to do what they have to do, and am in no way complaining. We fully enjoyed our stay. The staff was hospitable and kind. Clean hotel with daily towel service.
