We had an enjoyable time at Yavapai Lodge. It was easy to find and check in. Room was clean, although smelt slightly musty, and bathroom very outdated. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the cafeteria style dinner, although slightly pricey (understandable for The Grand Canyon). Parking was free and right outside our room. Staff were lovely.

Such a great lodge!! Not sure why it fills up last, but we loved our stay here. Clean, cozy, convenient. Close-by the market, tavern, and a quick drive to El Tovar, Bright Angel, and many more.

Check in was easy, but staff was not very helpful when I asked about having someone fix the tv that wasn’t working, nobody showed up, and even when I asked what time check out was to confirm the young lady didn’t even turn around and look at me, she just yelled out 11am sir. The restaurant Buffett was horrible, all the food was dry, no flavor and way over priced, should’ve gotten a pizza. The rooms are noisy as we were on the lower level and sounded like a heard of cows above us, and you can hear when they shower, flush the toilets and drain the tub, it was very loud. It was fun to stay at the canyon, but wouldn’t stay here again. We did enjoy breakfast at the Bright Angel Lodge though.

The lodge is "quaint". The rook was clean, beds comfortable. The rooms were a long walk to main building.Our building was dilapidated outside. All the ice machines were broken. The buffet dinner was good. It offered a variety and all tasted good.

This lodge is a very affordable option inside the park. We prefer the “east” side. You can walk right over to the rim very easily. This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed there and would definitely recommend.
