What an exceptional place. Very expensive for Vietnam but the attention to detail and friendly service and hospitality were second to none. It is not what you might expect and I would recommend that 4 nights is a perfect length of trip. My only real criticism is the wine list, a lot of very cheap wines at ridiculous prices. It seems to be a trend in Vietnamese hotels. Only one restaurant we went to in Vietnam had decent wine so, worth remembering.

Beautiful retreat! It was such a luxurious stay. Barely anyone else around. We had a majority of the amenities to ourselves most of the time. The only other time we would see someone else is during breakfast/lunch/dinner at the restaurant. The service was immaculate! Huong, our host(?), was AMAZING! She made sure our stay was extremely comfortable. She made sure we got everything we wanted and more. The room itself was fantastic. The views were amazing. The only downside was there were ants in our bathroom and some areas of our room. It wasn’t so bad until the morning of our check-out but other than that, it was fine!

Firstly, the staff are excellent…incredibly friendly and attentive. Our butler really took care of us. Staying in a tree top villa the view was superb over the bay however, the condition was tired and requires some updating around the decking, pool area, stairs and to disguise the underneath of the structure. The wood clearly gets very wet in the jungle but this therefore requires more regular maintenance. The facilities are very good and communal areas are superb. Unfortunately, we contracted what appears to have been acute food poisoning from a lunch or dinner at the resort (there are no other restaurants nearby and no one else was sick). We were very ill for 2 nights but thankfully the staff took great care of us. Given the extent of our symptoms and the impact to our stay we won’t be returning. Completing our trip at An Lam Retreats Saigon and first impressions are extremely high already…on another level.

We booked this hotel for a few days to get some R&R during a tour of Vietnam. This is a small resort maily made up of private cabins, extremely pretty. The rooms, resort etc are very peaceful but given the small size there is not much to do except lounge around. Our room was absolutely stunning with private pool and beach. Of course, this was the place we both got food poisoning afte 2 weeks in Vietnam....

We paid a premium rate as compared to other rates in the websites which comes with free meals and transport. However, we were given absolutely nothing when we checked in. Our upgraded villa was a beach access villa stuck between 2 villa with kids, so we changed back to our original treetop villa. Zero check in procedures or introduction to hotel. Only introduction was do I want to take the chargeable sunset cruise. Lipstick stains on the cup, pool was dirty, sup board was broken. I wish I can give a better review but.. the total disconnect in the resort just makes it like their priorities are just to get as much customers in and out while offsetting future recommendations or business.

The An Lam is a beautiful resort. Very peaceful and relaxing. One of the aspects we liked best was their adult only policy. It really makes for a nice couples vacation where you can just enjoy some quiet downtime with your partner. The staff was great. It's a nice touch having a butler assigned to help you with whatever you may need. The butlers are available 24/7 and I'm not sure how necessary that is and could probably lead to some people taking advantage of them. The service was overall great although we felt at times they lacked the basics. For example we had many meals where we were never provided napkins. The food was great and not overly expensive.

I can only describe the quality of the service and the attention to detail be it in the accommodations, the staff or the food as superb! If you are looking for a very private, intimate & luxurious get away, you must try An Lam Ninh Van Bay. We loved it! The only initial disappointment I can think of is that our first Bay View room was, well, not really Bay View. I asked our Butler if we could please change rooms and they quickly cleaned and gave us another room which was absolutely amazing. Friendly advice: do opt for the rooms with a private pool as it made the whole experience incredibly better.

Great place to stay to unwind & unplug. Only drawback is that in terms of dining options you’re restricted just to the hotel, but the food is so good that it works out. Staff are super friendly, food is delicious. However for the price point it’s a little frustrating they charge you for boat transfers to the mainland outside of the one shuttle service they provide per day.

Where do we begin. We had the pleasure of staying at An Lam Retreats and it was everything and more than we could have expected. The process of getting to the island might be a bit long (about a 60 mins drive + 10 min boat ride) but it is worth the trip. The property is located on an island, so if you're looking to getaway, this is definitely the place to do it. As we got to the island, we were greeted by the friendly staff and provided welcome drinks. They then showed us to our villa. We were graciously upgraded (perks of Expedia's VIP+ program!) and oh my word, it was just divine. The views of the bay were unreal and thats not even the best part. The villa itself was a perfect combination of nature + luxury. The private infinity pool was also a very nice touch. And you also get your own butler! Though there is only 1 option for food (the restaurant and room service share the same menu) its located along the beach and the views are just as spectacular. The food might lean on the pricey side but its delicious none the less. There are also a number of activities that you can book, though we didn't have time to do everything. We can honestly say it was one of the best getaways we have been on and would definitely recommend this place for a vacation. Thank you An Lam for the hospitality and we hope to be back one day soon!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights in a private villa with a pool. The rooms are exactly as they look on the internet - AMAZING. The food here was exceptional and extremely well priced for the quality and exactly as you would expect from a 5-star resort (don't take any notice of the other comments, take a look at my photos!). We had a seafood platter which was awesome and the seafood was as fresh as I've had, steak and wine one night and the rib-eye was as good as I get at $75 steak houses here in Melbourne, we had a freshly caught and grilled pomfret fish, the Pho and Nha Trang Noodles were great for breakfast, and the cheese platter was exceptional. Staff were super friendly and helpful with a special shout out to Hanh who took care of us the whole time. I managed to turn up extremely sun burnt from being in Langkawi just before and Hanh organised some cream to help make it better. Fantastic service! I really hope to stay at An Lam again sometime soon :)

This was an amazing stay as part of our honeymoon. The staff were very attentive the rooms are incredible and the setting is out of this world. You feel like you are stepping into paradise, Upon arrival we were greeted by the team and they were really friendly and helpful, and they went on to make us a very memorable. We went in May which is apparently low season but it was still really hot and probably one of the best times to go because we were one of about five other couples there which meant we practically have the place to ourselves. The private yoga classes were incredible and you get to walk through the little gardens where they grow all their own vegetables and fruits and all the other bits and pieces that are on the island. If you’re after a complete retreat that will support very soon. This is the best place I stayed at in Vietnam and we stayed at a lot of nice other places. You are limited to just staying there and eating there but the food is good the service is amazing and the prices aren’t too bad for what you are getting

We arrived at the hotel around 3/3:30pm after ~1 hr drive from the airport (was only 40 mins when we left) & 15-20 min boat ride & were able to enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea while checking in with our butler. The room, restaurant & grounds were perfect. Our particular room (beach front) didnt get good sun for the lounge beds until after ~noon so we went to the beach area anyway (the rooms are staggered for privacy so some other rooms had better sun). Cold water is delivered to you once you arrive at the beach/pool to layout. We spent~$70 USD each night for dinner for 2 (no alcohol) & food was great (light app & bread basket included). Spa service was great. We kayaked & took a snorkel trip as well (private boat with lounge beds to sun on your way to the snorkel spot!). There are more activities available than what is advertised on their website & there is a game room w/ pool/darts/Foosball, bikes to ride but only ~5 mins tops of area to ride them. We ended up doing the hike to stream ourselves in flip flops - it's easy but would recommend at least Chacos/Keens to climb the rocks. We stayed three nights, i loved it but my husband gets bored a little quicker & could have done one less night. The shuttle from the airport was so convenient (good wifi) since you are delivered right to the boat. Good wifi in the room itself, air conditioning is good as long as you keep the doors/shades closed during the day.

We absolutely adored our stay at an lam retreats. It’s everything as advertised, removed, relaxing, beautiful, isolated and just super quiet.

Great place to stay to unwind & unplug. Only drawback is that in terms of dining options you’re restricted just to the hotel, but the food is so good that it works out. Staff are super friendly, food is delicious. However for the price point it’s a little frustrating they charge you for boat transfers to the mainland outside of the one shuttle service they provide per day.

amazing for relaxing run away luxury vacation. going from island to the coty could take some time, especialy mind that its not easy to get a taxi from the pier. stuff was friendly, food was superb, they even got us special fruits for our request and made out of menu improvisations. we had some bad weather and beside minor electric fails for few minutes it was all good.
