Still fighting to get a refund for our disaster experience. Staff has been unhelpful, keep stating no refund policy.
We checked in to a room with a broken handle/lock mechanism. After wasting 1 hour watching the technician try to fix it, we left for a walk. Upon return, the door was open and unlocked. You could open the door from inside the room, but not outside.
We couldn't leave for dinner because someone would have to be inside the room to open it. So we checked out and moved to another hotel, requesting a refund. But the reception kept stating the no refund policy, although we could not technically leave the room. Who goes on vacation to stay in the room?! It was not a safe environment (what if the lock no longer opens from inside...).
There was no manager on duty despite the hotel being full capacity and it being a super busy week with reunification and labour day holidays. I checked on Expedia if any upgrade room was available. 3 rooms were available on Expedia for booking, but in reality, we were told the hotel was fully booked. My mind was and is blown.
Horrible experience and simply wishing for basic customer service support.

The staff was wonderful and the location is central, but the whole place could use updating. The phone in our room didn’t work, the hair dryer was such a low power we couldn’t use it, and the “window room” we were given actually had a fake window box with a palm in it (fine but not a window to the outside). Also, there was only enough hot water for one shower a night. Overall fine stay, nothing special.

PICTURES PUBLISHED BY HOTEL DO NOT REPRESENT THE REAL QUALITY/CONDITION
1 - entrance had plastic bags of staff's personal items all over the counters. There was a big bin bag on a cardboard box with an extension lead and a pair of shoes shoved at the cashiers desk. Yes there is the big beaded chandelier thing but the rest is a total mess.
2 - the massage area has semi frosted glass windows and is right by the elevator. If you were having a massage, you have no privacy at all
3 - the recept photographed my passport on his personal phone
4 - the whole building needs renovating. There are scuffs in the walls, peeling paper etc. Nothing like the pictures.
5 - rooms are left unlocked and open while there is no guest in them
6 - my room had rubbish in it from a previous guest
7 - bathroom had no toiletries as shown in pictures
8 - the hotel slippers were reusable plastic slides/flip flops. Same shoes for all the guests in that room
9 - the fridge didn't work
10 - sheets were ripped
11 - the "mini bar" was a dirty drawer
12 - the bathroom had a glass wall that you could make more discreet with a sheer nylon curtain but you really had no privacy
13 - the shower had a large glass external window looking onto a small balcony. Outsiders could access
14 - stepping out of the lift on the ground floor you could see directly into the massage area through barely frosted glass.

Amazing hotel in Hanoi Old quarter for traveler. Hotel have good spa even they did to booked package tours as : Ha Long bay 2 days 1 night , sapa 3 days 2 nights tour, hoa lu – tam coc trip was excellent and great value. We loved this hotel.

Upon arrival, we booked Package tour as : Ha Long bay tour Sapa tour with Mr. Victor was good promotion. We have free upgraded room with king city view was nice – large – clean room. We like this hotel.
