I can't say enough about the staff. All (especially Anna) were extremely helpful arranging for SIM cards, tours, etc. When the AC went out in the room, 5 people got to work on the issue immediately. We were offered a change of room (which we didn't accept) and free massages for the issue, even though AC was repaired in a few hours. The hotel is cute and quaint, located in an alley. Roomy with a great shower. Excellent location in the Old Quarter, just steps away from tons of shopping and restaurants.

Very nice hotel! The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond in ensuring we were safe and enjoying our time in Hanoi. In particularly, Anna was a wonderful employee who checked in with me when I became ill from food poisoning and helped us book tours and recommended what to eat while I was not feeling well. Top notch service, breakfast was amazing with both western and Vietnamese options, sky bar was also very nice. There was a lizard in our room but it quickly went away and the shower had some difficulty draining but none of that was a huge issue compared to the positives from our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel for those coming to Hanoi!

This is a very good hotel - clean, and excellently located right in the heart of the Old Quarter.
The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.
I highly recommend visiting the restaurant, and especially the rooftop bar for a pleasant experience with beautiful views of Hanoi.

Hôtel propre, personnel très respectueux et disponible. Chambre assez petite et lit un peu dur. Bien situé par rapport à la ville, mais se trouve dans une ruelle difficile d’accès en voiture et avec beaucoup de commerces locaux. Expérience agréable en général.

The Kecho Legacy is just 50 rooms, and yet a masterpiece of affordable luxury, and my absolute favourite place to stay in Hanoi.
The care and detail taken in the beautiful heritage furniture and decoration, by the most committed and personable owner I have ever encountered is a lesson to other hotels.
You will not only be impressed by the facilities that include an incredibly designed rooftop skybar that will definitely surprise you, restaurant, excellent breakfast buffet plus made-to-order included, beautiful and relaxing spa facility, you will be amazed that a 50 room place can have all these trimmings.
The service from staff matches the quality of the building and they go out of their way to ensure transport will get right to the door and not leave without you (this can be a challenge for the first-time old-quarter traveller), or park your hire moped securely, organise a sim card to be brought to the hotel for you, or anything at all you need.
I rarely like to be this effusive about anywhere, but this is, and will always be, my home in Hanoi.

Kecho Legacy was a great place to stay .. room was clean and property over all was clean . Staff were fantastic , from Tracey on the front desk to making up the room each day .
Upon early arrival they took our bags and also allowed early check in by about 3 hours .
Tracey organised our trip to Halong Bay and Ninh Binh which was convenient ( (you can get them about $40 AUD cheaper if you do it yourself on the net but we did this out of convenience) .
It's close to the Lake , weekend market (a main st is closed down for this but doesn't affect you) , food shops everywhere and general shops .
I will say - the location is down an alley way and is interesting because when you go in or out of the hotel you see the locals preparing local food for the day . a slight smell but wouldn't put us off from staying there again .
Breakfast was ok , a good mix so something for everyone .
Price is really good for what you get at Kecho Legacy and location once again is brilliant .

We loved the authenticity of Kecho Legacy, very traditional style with modern touches.
Can’t fault the staff, very helpful, welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast buffet is very good, location is excellent, roof bar is wonderful for catching an evening breeze on a hot day.
Highly recommend and would stay here again.

We travel a lot and have never been treated as well as we were at Kecho Legacy. I had a few special request and I'm still in awe about how everyone went out of their way to ensure we had everything that we asked for. Also their pick up and drop off was fantastic and less expensive than other services. Very very convenient location to be able to walk almost everywhere. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

This is a cute little hotel but tucked away so difficult to find down a back street that's also the (raw) chicken market. Once inside, staff lovely. Room small and shower old. 'City view' room was closed shutters with market below so very noisy with shouting as things opened in the morning. Wotif shows no lifts at the property, which was a concern, but there are two. There are about 8 steps up to the property though and you need to navigate your luggage from the nearest street so do a Google street view first so you know where you're going. Very close to everything.

I chose this property based off its aesthetics. When I go into a foreign country, I want to be in a beautiful one of a kind hotel with a unique vision of what the country has to offer.
The hotel is in the Hanoi Old Quarter…a mins walk away from the action. There’s a Circle K down the street if you like that sort of thing and the night markets less than 3 mins away.
The inside of the hotel is impressive. The attention paid to detail is amazing…I’m kind of gushing about them but this might be my favorite I’ve had. Seriously…this is a strong choice.

I loved staying here. It's a little tranquil oasis in the middle of the city and the front desk staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good too. The only negative thing I can say is that our room was missing the showel gel, but they replaced it right away when we mentioned it. Would reccomend!

Good location. Great rooftop bar. Morning Breakfast is excellent and staff is super helpful! Rooms are a little funky though and dark as far as design aesthetic. Didn't really dig myself, but could be my personal taste. I tend to like more natural light though.
Accessibility for this location is limited too, it's in an alleyway which is inaccessible for anything but an odd scooter here and there. I met tour busses and Grab rides on Pho Gia Nu rather. Interesting alley though! Food vendors, butchers, and just a lot of flavor of Hanoi. Miss walking down that alley to the hotel;)

Upon arrival they upgraded our room free of charge and the staff was always friendly and helpful to offer suggestions about things to do in Hanoi. The room and the whole hotel was very clean and well worth it. The massage spa they have is one of the best massages ever. The restaurant they have also serves excellent food. This is a beautiful hotel in old quarter. The interior design of the hotel is lovely and a lot of attention has been paid to detail. The whole hotel was very clean. The room had big windows, which was nice. We had seen some reviews saying about noise - but the room was very quiet, both late at night and early in the morning - despite being in a busy street there was no noise once we were in the hotel room. Right in the centre of old quarter so well located for exploring. Staff were helpful and we were able to leave bags whilst we did a 2 day trip away from Hanoi.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Beautifully decorated hotel - if you are looking for high class, but also a truly Vietnamese feeling, in the heart of the old quarter. My room was beautiful - felt very special to stay in (though a little smaller than I expected, and the balcony was really just the size of the chair). The roof terrace is amazing, with multiple levels and incredible views - and I was served one of the best Espresso Martinis I've ever had! A few less brilliant things. I found the breakfast a little disappointing. Plenty food, but lots of things that didn't appeal much. Eg scrambled eggs were served totally plain, I think even without seasoning, and no 'add ins' offered. There were several things that felt a bit bland, meat slightly dry e.t.c.. Was ok but not a big pleasure. An annoyance was that the hotel information wasn't all correct. I think they are quite new, so have ideas that haven't yet been completed (March 2025). For example, The info says it has a restaurant for lunch and dinner - both online and in the in-room info, but they don't (yet?). The in-room info also says they have 24-7 room service, and again they don't. As a solo woman traveler, I pick hotels with on-site restaurants, so I don't need to go out late at night - and got a bit 'stranded' here because of the info being wrong. The receptionist helped me order in a delivery, but it wasn't great! Other than that, a beautiful hotel and lovely stay.
