The property was excellent and near the cable car ride to Hong Thom. The rooms were clean and nice and the pool was great and big. It’s also next to the beach so you have swim options. However the night market near by doesn’t give much option and neither is there much to do outside of the resort. The breakfast dining was food but lunch and dinner at the resort is actually quite bad. Meats were chewy and dinner option at the buffet was not much for the $900k dong that you pay. We tried the restaurant inside the resort called Lua and that was also pretty bad. The food was bland and not good.

Everything was amazing but didn’t get enough towels and not much to do or eat around. Little far from everything by foot. And not easy to get grab but if you like to stay in the resort, this is one of the best

I can't recommend this resort enough! It is geared towards families, but I traveled alone and had a great time. The beach is beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the villa I stayed in was awesome! You will not be disappointed in this resort!

5 star hardware but 2 star service. This is the first time I’ve experienced no beach towels in a 5-star beachfront resort. Staffs walking around but don’t take your orders, kept avoiding eye contacts and simply don’t want to serve

We had a fabulous stay at the New World Resort Phu Quoc.
Pros: The beach is absolutely stunning and the villas are gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was incredible, we loved that it was slightly different every day. Happy hour is good value and generally all of the staff are eager to please.
Cons: Food and drink prices are very expensive for Vietnam, almost on London levels which was a shock after travelling here from a 5 star hotel in Hoi An where spa/food/drinks prices were roughly half those here. Too many rules - e.g. bikes can’t be taken outside the property. Why not? At other hotels we stayed at on our trip they could be taken anywhere, where the roads were far less quiet! My husband got chased down the road by security. Likewise towels could not be taken further along the beach etc. There was no flexibility either, e.g. we had half an hour to kill before we could check in so our children wanted to use the giant pool flamingo for 30 mins, but the staff were adamant we had to pay for an hour and it was not possible to pay half for the time we actually wanted to use it. No outside food allowed to be taken into bills etc etc. These little niggles were quite irritating and don’t make for a relaxing holiday. However, we still loved the hotel and really enjoyed our stay.

LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY!
The experience was so positive I want to visit Phu Quoc again before I had even left! You travel by buggy everywhere within the premises, and staff nicely arrange everything for you.
The rooms are clean and spacious, with the pool in the villa makes the whole experience another level up! Recommend!!!!!

This resort was exceptional. If you're debating between resorts, go with this one. Beautiful property: infinity pool overlooking the beach, private pools in the villa. There are many things you can do. They have bikes you can ride around the property with, kayaks to kayak around the water, volleyball to play on the beach, and more. It is a very clean property. The thing we love most about this resort was the customer service. They are beyond amazing and very accommodating. Highly highly recommend.

What we liked:
- Breakfasts and dinners
- Condition of rooms, pools, restaurant, beach, Gym, decoration of the internal territory (beatiful and neat throughout)
- Gym is well equipped
- Design of the villa and other buildings
- Excellent room service, restaurant service, near pool service
- All staff has English at good level
What can be improved:
- communication at check-in. The staff member spent a few minutes talking about how many people is allowed to stay in our villa, that we cannot use the kitchen or we would be charged, that we can't bring food from external restaurants to the room, that we can't bring drinks that are not purchased in the hotel or we gonna be fined. This was very confusing and unpleasant to hear about charges or fines in the beginning of our stay at check-in. Surely there is a better way to communicate this
- Only 1 restaurant was opened for dinner. Really strange for such a big hotel
- Would be good to have bikes for 5-8 yo kids
- Would be good to have more physical activities (yoga was good, but not enough)
