I highly recommend Oackwood Residence Saigon. The staff at the front desk are wonderful. The rooms are well equipped and extremely clean. The restaurant on the ground floor is lovely. My only complaint is that the restaurant serves vegetarian dishes during the day but not in the evening - which seems very odd if you want a vegetarian meal in the evening. Luckily the Oakwood is near a good shopping mall that has a great pizza restaurant with lots of vegetarian options. Check in and Check out was really efficient - staff are lovely.

I’ve stayed here on business and short stays for many years because it’s so convenient to where I need to be. This was the first time I’ve thought that it’s time to change. Things that were included in the price before are no longer making it less convenient for what is a fairly high price.

Good location, and all facilities are well maintained. I cannot complain anything while i am staying here. Also all staffs are so friendly and well trained.

Customer response service is the worst. Whenever I went on a business trip to Ho Chi Minh City, I always used this hotel. I don't want to use this hotel again through this.

This is the best place to stay in Ho Chi Minh with a family. Honestly nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they fix any issue immediately. In a chaotic city, this hotel was a welcome reprieve. Nothing but good things to say about this hotel. District 7 might seem a long way from the tourist attractions of D1, but the Grab rides were easy to get and meant we slept well without the constant noise or honking of horns. We stayed 3 times over 3 weeks and I would definately stay again! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ho Chi Minh.

The property is very new and nice. The mall is next door. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Staffs are very friendly and helpful! Will stay here again in the future.

The area feels safe and has many dining options close by. It was spacious and well equipped, with nice city view. One of the bedrooms smelt like the bedlinen was not changed, thus my two daughters shared one room since there are 3 bedrooms for 4 of us. Every night, after returning to the hotel, we need to call to request for body wash and shampoo as these were always not replenished, even though the room was tidied. When I was checking out, front desk staff showed me a photo of 3 mugs on the dish rack and said one is missing, asked if I had taken it. My husband remembered it was on the dining table. This is rather annoying, the housekeeper should have checked carefully before accusing us of taking the mug. I was told to sign on a form to declare that I didn’t take the mug. What was most shocking was the taxi ride to airport which was booked by the hotel’s front desk. The night before we left, I spoke to the front desk staff to request for late check out as our flight was at 6.15pm, and the staff obliged to give us an extension to 1pm. At the same time, she asked if I’d like her to book a taxi for us. I asked and was told it will be charged by meter and the estimated charge would be 200,000 to 300,000. Even though it was higher than Grab, I accepted it as I thought it’d be more reliable. To my shock, we had to pay 3,990,000!!! The hotel must warn guests of potential rip off and recommend only reliable taxi drivers to guests, this is service I expect as your guest.

Room was clean and comfortable. Upgrade was fantastic. Only issue was quite a distance from district 1 where all the shopping and good restaurants are. Otherwise everything was fine though the traffic was crazy

Friendly staff and quick to try and help with any issues. Spacious studio room was very comfortable. I like that this is next door to a small shopping mall that has everything you might need--grocery store, restaurants, Starbucks coffee, etc, etc.

Great location and very convenient to travel to all the attractions. Love that the hotel is closed to Korea town and the mall.

This hotel is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Front desk receptionist were all helpful and nice. In-room service was great, and the room overall was SUPER clean. Not a single trace of dust for our room we stayed in. There is a mall that's about a 3 minute walk from the hotel and also includes a grocery store inside. This is definitely a "treat" when staying in Saigon considering the price, but definitely worth it if you're staying in District 7.

Very hard beds, but good size bedrooms. Very quick, efficient check-in. Right next to a huge shopping mall. Several different types of pillows. Massive water bottle provided. Good size and thickness of towels - including pool towels. Separate washer and dryer which is SO much better than those inefficient all-in-one machines! Overall, wonderful friendly and helpful staff and a great property to stay at! P.S. the ability to understand English is quite limited with some staff, particularly over the phone. But that's to be expected. Headboards need a revamp

Only negatives are that the bed headboards need a revamp (only a tiny issue, really) and the mattresses are very hard (although we're finding this all over Vietnam).
