This property has a beautiful panoramic & breathtaking view of the ocean and St. Thomas Bay. It is close to downtown, and simply beautiful. The rooms are simply appointed and very clean. Libby is an excellent host, making guests feel like you're visiting their home. You'll be well taken care of at Island View Guesthouse. Delicious breakfasts also.

Rooms were clean and comfortable with a sleep number adjustable bed. Air conditioning, kitchenette with a microwave, and a refrigerator for some groceries and drinks rounded out a great room for our week’s stay.
Beautiful views from open air restaurant that also overlooks the pool. Amazing hospitality and customer service from owners, Libby and Marshall and all of their staff! The Island View Steakhouse was fantastic and we were so happy to celebrate our anniversary there. Marshall the chef is fantastic! We enjoyed the slow braised lamb ragu and the wood fire whole roasted Branzino. Highly recommend!!
We were fortunate enough that they just started up their lunch service. My wife enjoyed their Smoked Tomato “Caesar” salad while I loved their Filipino Lumpia Shanghai. Since I’m still going on about how great their food is, don’t sleep on their complementary breakfast during your stay. Great way to start your day in St Thomas. Hopefully you’re lucky enough to be there when they are serving their version of French toast. Again, so good!
Honor bar with drinks and snacks round out this review which was both convenient and unique. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. The entire staff were helpful to point out places and give their own recommendations which we found useful. Hope we can visit again soon.

This is a lovely looking property from the outside, with a clean pool and a wonderful outdoor seating area for breakfast and drinks. However, the room was in need of a pretty big refresh and did not match the pictures on this site at all. The pictures show bright decorations and linens, rugs, etc. Our room had nothing but the bed with basic linens, a dresser with a few basic trinkets, a very old kitchen with some broken cabinets, and a broken outdoor table on a balcony that had power lines running directly in front of it. It wasn't unlivable, but it definitely was a surprise based on what was shown during booking. The breakfast was small but delicious and the staff was kind. We wouldn't immediately book here again, but we wouldn't not stay if it was the best option available.

The property had great views. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The views to the bay were wonderful. Getting up to the hotel is fairly difficult and it’s recommended that you rent a car to get there. Television and stations are very limited.

Call to request the cook be on hand for a meal when google says closed. I’d suggest this note be added to the email confirmation. Taxi didn’t arrive as scheduled but owner took our group at no charge. Good views of St. Thomas from the expensive rooms.

Our group of 6 arrived late on a Sunday night and were warmly greeted by Libby, the owner. We discussed with the need for a taxi for an early morning pickup which she took care of. The restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings but were Libby told us that all we had to do was call in advance and they would open it for us. Good to know for future. The property is very beautiful and quaint and the view from the balcony is world class.
The best part was when our scheduled taxi did not arrive in time, Libby didn't waste any time and jumped in her car and drove us there. Awesome customer service. I would highly recommend the Island View Guesthouse and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to St. Thomas

We stayed one night after our catamaran trip. The hotel sits up on the hillside and the views are amazing. The mattress was little saggy on one side, but everything else was truly fine. The Breakfast was also very good and the staff excellent!!

Our room was fairy tail good. Everything was gorgeous and the view was stunning. We had dinner at their steakhouse which was a 10. We had an amazing view of the fireworks from our table. And then the owners went above and beyond. We had to get an early taxi to the airport so they woke up early to make us breakfast.

The restaurant food was excellent. The staff was superb, the view was incredible. Didn't like the narrow, windy, steep roads and limited parking. We returned early every day in order to make sure we had a parking spot. We enjoyed it, but won't be back, very expensive in general and have seen it. Thank you very much.

We loved this place!! I came here with my mom and sis to recharge from having a baby a few months ago. We stayed in the suite with the pullout couch. The bed was amazing and I got my first full nights sleep in months here!! The food was amazing and the staff very accommodating. The chef and owner personally comes to ensure you are having a good time and offers recommendations on things to do while in town if you were like me and ran out of time to plan LOL. that’s life with a toddler and baby I suppose. Do yourself the favor and rent a car from the airport…you will not regret it. A taxi is about $15 per person and some charge an additional $3 for your luggage…this is all per person and depending on where you’re going. This was the lower end of the scale. The island itself is very expensive and many of the folks there are looking to make a few bucks.

What a lovely spot in St. Thomas! Our hosts welcomed us by name as soon as we stepped up to the reception desk. It was such a welcome change from the large hotel we'd spent another night at while on St. Thomas. The dinner we had that night was delicious and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful as well!
