The Westin St. John Resort Villas

Great property

Beautiful property with expansive grounds. The pool and beach area are beautiful, but we were very disappointed that guests were permitted to personal music systems very loudly at both locations. For a resort of this cost and caliber, we expected a more upscale experience. Also, the food at the restaurants was disappointing, even for a hotel, and lemongrass was terrible. Also, the hotel made no mention of the villa rooms being across the street, up an enormous hill and only accessible via golf cart thereby completely separating you from the amenities of the resort. The Westin has a monopoly on St John and could do better to elevate the experience of staying there.

Beautiful resort with spacious rooms and a special care for the guests. Water taxi, shuttles and golf cats righ on site. We're considering this resort to comeback again.

Perfect for a relaxing vacation. The beach and pool are amazing!

Staff in the kitchen wasn’t friendly. However, the lady from Dominica in the Mango Cafe was fantastic. The staff in the main grill didn’t have a care in the world. I felt extremely uncomfortable.

Beech and restaurants Huge hill to get to condo, was supposed to have a different condo but this was an 'Upgrade'

Great staff, east to get around with the golf carts. Wish the second restaurant was open all week. helpful staff.

We stayed in one of the newly remodeled units which were very nice! The other units that haven’t been completed yet are very worn.

We stayed at The Westin St John for our first leg of our honeymoon. The resort was beautiful, the rooms, property and staff were great! Location is perfect, they offer taxi service into Cruz Bay where there are tons of shops, bars, and places to eat. Very easy, safe and convenient!

Tooooooo expensive with everyone needing tips to touch a bag n ding me $5 —— so over the top

We stayed here 3 years ago…just seemed better then. This time…people were nice but property (room) needs to be freshened up. Tile floor had chips in it, doorways into bathrooms were chipped and the door into the laundry closet came off the hinges when we opened it. Dark cabinets/dark fabrics. When we called Skorkels to order dinner…the guy at the bar (in the middle of my order) told me he was too busy, he had to deliver drinks to a table and I should call back. Really? At a Westin? Property really needs to be freshened up! Plus…I eat gluten free and would be nice to have some options at Mango’s Deli for breakfast. All breakfast sandwiches and pastries were not. GF pizza crust not available either.

This resort is not the relaxing mecca it is portrayed to be. First off we were placed in a handicap accessible room with an odd floor plan. With a very few exceptions, the hospitality staff seem to be listless and bored to be there. There is one large pool and it is full of 8-12 year olds throwing balls across it bothering and intruding upon the relaxtion of adults. Nothing is included in the room price, but the room. Even social events at the pool area where by fee. It's like flying Spirit Airlines. The only restaurant that served breakfast was closed half the week. This only left a mini starbucks for breakfast. A meal at the outdoor restaurant came with a can of bug spray. Biting bugs were everywhere. The shuttle service within the resort was sketchy at best, Do your research before spending $600 a night to relax here. The bright spot is that the grounds were beautifully maintained. We won't return to this resort or any other Marriott owned resort.
