Stradey Park Hotel

The Lady on reception didn’t look happy to see us as we were very early (11.45am) but explained we were on a road trip and been travelling for two weeks and only wanted to leave the camper on the car park and walk to town for the day until book in. The room was clean but dark as a back room with just bushes/tree blocking the light and very warm and had no air conditioning or fan. The outside needs a little love and car park too but inside reception, bar and restaurant areas are lovely. We had a walk to the town which is 20 minutes walk and then to the sea front where we found a lovely bar/ restaurant called St Elli’s Bay which was lovely.

Amazing value hotel. Breakfastvwas fantastic! Will return!

We had an excellent stay room was clean and bed was very comfy with fluffy pillows. Staff were friendly and we had a excellent breakfast in the morning

Good hotel with views to the sea. A wedding venue, so can get a little noisy.

The public areas in the hotel were clearly well looked after, however car park was not up to scratch. I stayed in room 11, no aircon, mattress has seen better days, linen ok. Bathroom - not so good, let down by black mold around the bath and the shower curtain was too long and let water down the wall. Water too hot. Bathroom needs some serious attention. Not the best value for money I’ve stayed in, for the price I would expect the breakfast, which was good, to be included. Overall a six out of ten.

hotel very comfortable & conveniant

Two night break. Web site pictures enhance the actual in terms of size and quality so disappointed. Breakfast was great although replenishment was slow and sometimes not at all. Dinner was a limited menu and with only two steaks on it was disappointing that one was not available on our first night.

Not a 4* hotel in my book. Our room had very limited facilities. No bed side lights, switches or sockets. room had a very small, highly positioned window. No air con. That said the staff were great, friendly and helpful. Good bar with good food on offer. Standard premier inn style breakfast. Lift out of order yet used by the staff!!

Nice except the lift was broken and smokers hanging around the front entrance.

The hotel did look a lot different to the pictures. Unfortunately the car park let it down. There was no parking close to the reception as a large number of motorbikes had taken it over, meaning I had to park in the lower car park and carry bags up a lot of steps to get to reception. There I was advised that the lift was out of order and my room was on the third floor! No alternatives offered. This limited the time spent outside of my room and led to an early check out when going for breakfast to avoid added trips to the third floor! There was quite a lot of noise during the night, with people shouting in the corridor outside the rooms, and bikes revving outside in the early hours. The shower itself wasn't great but the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were all quite friendly and the food was ok too. I thought it quite pricey for the amenities on offer, as a few things let it down, unfortunately.

Family trip

A pleasant stay, clean and comfortable. However, the evening meal at the hotel could have been a lot better. The chef was a bit heavy handed with the salt and the steaks were pretty tough. Overall a good location to explore what Swansea has to offer.

Staff were very helpful and polite nothing was to much trouble for any of them room was very clean food was amazing really enjoyed my stay there would go back

Comfortable hotel and pleasant service. Only downside is that a lot of services were out of action such as the lift and health centre, which would have been nice to have access to.

Great stay overall just very outdated but great staff and lovely friendly people.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area. The room was clean and spacious. The staff is friendly. The presentation of food at the restaurant at dinner was great and the food was tasty.

Lovely staff and the food was top notch. Chloe on reception was excellent nothing was too much trouble.
