Watching the Prambanan Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan Temple was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. Even though I've seen it numerous times (this was my fifth), I never get bored and it's always a blast. The staff are friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ramayana story, delivered with such expression by the dancers, especially since there are subtitles accompanying each scene, which helped me understand the story.

For anyone looking to engage meaningfully with Javanese and Indonesian culture, this is as good as it gets. Highly recommended.

Tickets to Ramayana Ballet in Open-Air Theater are highly sought after. One should book months in advance. The app allows visitors to check available dates months in advance. Very convenient. The e-ticket you purchase is stored in the mobile app and email. On the day of the show, just show up at the ticket counter, scan the QR code on your ticket, and voila! Very efficient.

The Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan was incredible. We happened to see it in April, so it was indoors. I'm really looking forward to seeing it outdoors; honestly, it would be even more amazing, right?

My husband is a Japanese citizen. There was a couple sitting next to him who seemed upset because when my husband wanted to pass to get to his seat, the woman and man didn't move their feet back. So during the break, my husband took the initiative to jump to his seat from the back because there were no spectators. But the reaction of the man next to my husband was very excited and embarrassed us because my children and I who were there were very embarrassed. What should have been a fun experience turned into a nightmare because of the unnecessary reaction. But I am very grateful to the officer for his kindness in making the children and I feel protected. Thank you very much 🙏❤️👍👏👏 I hope we can watch it again, amen.

We had difficulty finding our way to the entrance to the Ramayana Ballet Prambanan because it was different from the entrance to Prambanan Temple, the road was a bit dark, and the signage was small, so we had to stop to check the direction. Once we arrived, the staff members kindly guided us to our seats. Time flew by, as we were so thoroughly enjoying the performance that we didn't even have time to document it.
