The driver was on time, patient, kind, and helpful, willing to take photos of us, but he wasn't very good at controlling the Terios car, but it slipped a few times on the incline, making the grandmas on the tour nervous... hhh... The second time we were nervous was when we took a motorcycle taxi to the top of Nepal Van Java. The terrain was up and down, quite scary for those who weren't used to it, especially the grandmas. My son and I actually liked it like riding a roller coaster, but it wasn't that scary... the view was a bit shrouded in fog but quite beautiful. The second destination, Silancur, was sunny, we could take photos and enjoy lunch at a stall below Silancur because the grandmas couldn't go up... we ate fried rice, fried chicken rice, mendoan, and noodle soup (the other salty noodles were quite tasty). The third destination, Rhema Hill, was accompanied by light rain. When we arrived, it wasn't that crowded, we were only with 5 American foreign tourists. The uphill terrain made the motorcycle taxi we were riding make us slip a lot, so we laughed while holding on so we wouldn't got caught in the rain and maintained our sitting position... upon arriving at the merchandise building we were greeted and lent an umbrella for a short walk to the chicken church (merpati) because it was still drizzling... we were greeted by a local guide who explained the history of the chicken church in detail while showing photos and prayer rooms but we were not allowed to take photos on the ground floor only after going up to the 2nd floor we were allowed to take photos with the large atrium for worship or meetings in the hundreds then we were invited to the cafe to exchange entrance tickets for fried cassava or to the 3rd to 7th floors to the chicken crown (merpati). Grandma2 managed to climb to the 6th floor but did not want to go to the 7th floor because the spiral staircase was too narrow so we waited on the 6th floor while watching the AADC movie clip which was filmed at the chicken church. overall our trip was quite enjoyable... thx u traveloka
