Bed was a bit soft when laying down, this was the only negative thing of the hotel. The grounds were beautiful to look at and to walk around.

I had a lovely one night stay. The bath and shower were fabulous and the bed / room was very comfortable with everything I needed. All staff were wonderful. The gym access was also a nice treat. Would stay again. Thank you

Room Was unbearably hot and temp control On radiators didn’t work also suite we booked was difficult stair cases to get to with various different levels / trip hazards not ideal for my husband with knee problems

A charming, well-run hotel in a peacfeul setting. My room was impressively large, a very big bed and was immaculately clean. The staff are welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was a full variety and delicious.

We paid £180 for a room with no breakfast.....it wasnt great.... it was pleasant but i wouldnt rush back..... we ate out so didnt try the food....

For the price, I felt that the room was not as good as I would have liked. Wi-fi poor, or non existent. None in the room, even though they say that they have fast wi-fi. Room was clean as was the hotel Breakfast, whilst plentiful and looked reasonable was tasteless. I felt that the bar was expensive. A small bottle of water about £4. I did not see what I was getting extra to a premier inn which which would have cost less.

Beds very uncomfortable, 2 singles put together to make king size, so kept falling into crack inbetween beds. window wouldnt open, we called reception and they said they would get back to us which they didnt.

The lady on reception upgraded me to a King room from a Queen. Very friendly, arranged a taxi for me, as due to the local council Uber's don't go from there. Room service was good, food lovely. Breakfast, great selection & the lady & gentleman there today were very welcoming. The gentleman in a very smart suit was old school, I hope he doesn't mind me saying that but he was full of the traditional values of the hotel, he has worked there for 40 years. Will be back thank you.

We were very disappointed with the fact that the hotel advertises access to spa facilities. This was very misleading, as it offers access to a connected Nuffield gym, that is open to non hotel guests too. This spoilt our stay and is not clear on the website! And access to the gym, we had to go out of the hotel in the cold weather. No separate towel for swimming. Very poor! Furthermore, we were disturbed with request for check-out at 11am, when our booking clearly stated 12pm. This was poor communication and I had to validate my check out time when I left the hotel. These factors contributed to a disappointing stay, especially being with my partner and over two nights booking.

Bed was very soft. Found it really hard to even get up. No heating in room. No noise proof. Water leaked in the bathroom all over the floor. Dust all around the room. Not what you expect for the price I paid

Our stay was alight however what was disappointing was the location of the accessible bedroom which was almost100 meters from reception and on the first floor. to reach the room from reception it entailed the opening of 5 doors and when pushing a wheelchair it is very difficult when the door opens towards you. In most Hotels i have stayed in the accessible rooms are are close to or next to reception not at the farthest point and on the first floor. whilst on the subject of accessibility car parking was also an issue as all i could see was 2 blue badges for disability parking and not the recommended 6% of the total number of spaces which meant coming back at 2130 in the evening i was forced to park a distance form the entrance.

No internet, outdated furniture… Felt like I took a step back into the 80s. Paid for luxury but met the level of a budget hotel. On the plus side, they have lovely, helpful staff… Would I book again? NEVER!!

The building was freezing cold. The bathroom in our room was freezing cold. Cobwebs all over the ceiling. Tv remote did not work. Asked for a replacement but was ignored. Asked for a glass of water at the bar for my wife and was charged £3!!!
