They did not clean our room the first day even though we were gone 7 hours. Then they brought us 2 towels when there are three of us. Then when I asked for coffee to make in the room they brought me decaf with no cups to brew with and no creamer. The vibe just felt they didn’t care and the cleaning staff was downright rude.

This was the coolest hotel EVER!!!! Our room had a view of the Capitol which was amazing at night. The staff was super sweet and the pool was fabulous!!! We will be back.

Very basic accommodation, no real closet, no safe. Just OK property.

Rooms were clean and bright. But old building. No laundry bags, tooth brush, coffee , most importantly no safe in the rooms !

I went to ask for more coffee for our room. Housekeeping gave us 6 decaffeinated pouches I went to both ends of the halls of level 15 to look for ice when I finally found the room there was no ice machine! Went to lobby to try and find some coffee and was told I had to pay for it. The ac unit in our room 1530 was cracked open

The lobby was interesting. At check in there was no information given about anything on the property. The check in attendant was not friendly. The valet that we paid a large amount for did not unload our bags nor load them when we left. The room was hot and the AC barely cooled. I just expected to be treated better at a VIP experience.

Great room and great service

We took a quick trip and stayed only one night. Check-in was a breeze and they had a little bucket of complimentary beer at the front desk. Room was as advertised. Roomy, clean, chic. The only complaint is the price of parking whether self park or valet, but it seems all downtown hotels wherever you go exploit the parking. Valet was about $10 more than self park and after taxes and fees was about $70. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that the stay was perfect.

A very very fun hotel that offers a truly unique and Austin experience. The rooms are great and clean. The area around the hotel is quite noisy because of the traffic and not easy to walk around

Housekeeping was running behind so we had to cancel dinner reservations as we couldn’t go to our rooms to get ready and had to wait in the lobby until after 5. Check in was 3.

The property was great! Super cute, clean, convenient location! I enjoyed the large rooms.

We loved the pool, the swim club, the room decor, and staff

The staff were accommodating in the grounds were clean and well kept. There was not a microwave in the room, but once we requested it, they brought us one right away. Centrally located and reasonably priced. The pool was a very cute set up, but needs a little attention before pool season. Would stay here again!

It was amazing! The pillows were too soft for me, but that won’t stop me from visiting again. Plus I got to admire some of the MotoGP riders from a distance.

My wife and I stayed at the Downright Austin, Renaissance Hotel on Sunday, March 30th and checked out on Monday, March 31, 2025. The purpose of the stay was to sign paperwork for my retirement at TRS - Teacher Retirement System located across the street after 41 years of service. It was a bitter/sweet moment for us.

Absolutely amazing stay for my family and I. From the moment we arrived til we left after having breakfast. The aesthetics of the hotel were so beautiful, it put our whole family in the right mood. Staff was amazing and very helpful when we had questions. I would recommend this hotel to everyone with or without kids. Always be ready to snap a picture because you will have the best backdrop at every corner.

Great location, clean, great service, very comfortable bedding. A/C was not functioning properly, ran continuously but was still warm and humid in the room. All the outlets & lights near bed did not work. Access to streaming TV not working. No hairdrier or makeup mirror (usual amenities at that price level).

Hotel is nice but could use a deep clean & restrooms are a little outdated. For the price they should offer more amenities. Also $49 parking per day is wild. Other than that everything was okay.

This was a wonderful hotel to stay out in Austin. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurants are excellent. Within walking distance to anything downtown.

Great hotel that was central to a lot of major area. Walking distance to both Franklin’s and the Capitol. Very friendly front desk staff. The pool area is a really cute touch. It feels almost like Miami with the decor and vibes of the pool. Recommend staying here!
