I had a very pleasant stay at the Hilton DoubleTree Silver Spring. The rooms are clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a busy day. One of the best things about this location is the abundance of excellent restaurants just a short walk away. Whether you're in the mood for international cuisine or a cozy local café, there’s something for everyone nearby. The proximity to the Metro is a major plus—it's just a short walk to the station, making it incredibly convenient to get into D.C. without the hassle or expense of staying downtown. Speaking of which, the rates here are much more reasonable than what you'd find in central D.C., making it a great value. The staff were generally wonderful—friendly, attentive, and helpful. There was one individual who worked on Sunday morning who came across as a bit tetchy and in fact very rude, but everyone else more than made up for it with their welcoming attitude and professionalism. Overall, a great base for visiting the D.C. area with all the comforts you'd expect from a DoubleTree stay. P.S: The warm cookies they give you at check-in are so delicious!

I can’t say enough nice things about the front desk receptionist. I needed a phone charger and she gave me terrific directions. The area is lovely and I felt very safe. When I returned, I was greeted with a big smile and she asked me about my shopping experience. Being away from home and working, her comments were just a nice touch and made me feel like a special guest. Also, hundreds of kids on their DC class trip and the hotel did an excellent job of handling the masses. The bartenders were also terrific and the corn chowder was delicious. I plan to return in July for a Whote House tour and will be staying there with my family. Super clean too and quiet.

The first night staying there the fire alarm went off really late at night disturbing our peace after a long day of travel. The following day, I woke up to no power or water for 12 hrs. I had to go to a friend's house to shower and charge electronics. The first day staying here tainted our vacation. I don't plan staying here ever again.

Had issues from first getting there. Checked in and the refrigerator wasn't working they had to replace it. Fire alarm went off twice while we were there, then the power was out for most of the one day. Also on second day went to go to room and the keys stopped working had to go up and down several times to correct problem.

Was in Silver Spring to visit a friend and it was a good stay overall. The bed was comfortable and the room was updated. The only thing was that the toilet kept making noises, however it wasn't too much of a bother to make a complaint since I was only there to sleep.

Really enjoyed our stay there.

Lady did not have her name badge on when checking us in. Vent in suite 1204 in the bathroom is crusted with dust and dirt. Pool was green, and the parking garage cannot accommodate larger vehicles. Place was not worth the money we spent. Also, sleeper sofa couch did not open up in the back bedroom. Air conditioner in front room is ridiculously loud when running, couldn't sleep.

Great walkable location

Area was beautiful and so easy to navigate on foot. Has an amazing shopping center. The hotel room was cleaned very well. Upon entering that welcome you with your name on the tv screen and it is so sweet and thoughtful. Will definitely be back.

Room was very nice and staff were helpful. Comfortable bed and shower was extremely refreshing!

Close to family & the Metro

Front desk was incredibly unhelpful while asking about additional after check out.
