Room smelled terrible, no toilet paper, dirty, a druggie was outside and dropped a needle right behinf mybcar while we were there. The pool was closed and dirty and almost every time i went to the front desk no kne was there.

Needs upgrade. Bathtub broken. Ice machine broken. Ceiling pealing in bathroom. Coat hangers broken. Bathroom door splintering at base. Staff was very nice and helpful.... TV was not working and they came down and helped

It was pretty bad. When i got there there was alike of room trqshbags stacked against the wall. Still there when i got up the next morning. The room amenities were out dated, and furniture had rips. Refrigerator didnt work. Fixtures in tub old and had corrosion. Ceiling above tub peeling off and had black spots in it. Not sure if it was black mold. Room was not serviced, though i was only there two days. Ac unit was old and loud. Sorry but it was just run down.

I did not have a remote in my room for the tv. I called the front desk and was told would bring one. It never showed up. I stayed an extra night and asked for towels. They said they would leave them outside my door. They never showed up.

The room and hotel were nice. The only issue was a gap in the door that let in freezing air all night. At 20° it was a cold night. Had to drape the curtain ovet the door to block the cold.

Room was next to another occupied room, which was weird bc they were far from full occupancy. So we could hear conversations, doors opening and closing, etc. Do not understand why there was not at least one room in between us. The room was freezing when we first got there. It did heat up quickly thank goodness. Bed was comfortable, but bed spread was stained. We hoped it wasn’t just reused but with the stains it made us question it. Also made us question what else may not have been cleaned or changed. A large part of the ceiling was by the sink was peeling and hanging down. The chair had a rip about 4-6 inches long with stuffing exposed. All of these things put together, we could not understand why, with so many empty rooms, did they give us one that needed repairs. It would seem like they would give the rooms with no problems to their customers. We felt like we were given the bottom of the barrel, which was unnecessary, unless all of their rooms are like this. Will probably not come back to this location. Hopefully other ones are better kept.

Very outdated. Air conditioner noisie and control buttons broken. Shower curtain ripped and old. Curtains for window ripped. Drain plug / stopped removed from sink. Paint on bathroom door rubbed off and scratched.

Booked this room way in advance to go tour Lees McRae University the next day. Hurricane Helene came and we couldn't go tour the college because of the damage it caused to Banner Elk. Asked for a refund because of state of emergency and was denied any refund just because we couldn't get there.

Fixtures are very old. Toilets are old 5 gallon tanks. Sink and tub drains were clogged and wouldn’t drain. Not worth $130/night. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Check in lady was aloof and vaguely interested in checking us in, being involved in a side discussion with another lady sitting in the reception area.

The room was not livable. Water from the sink poured directly onto the floor because the P-trap was missing. All the staff would say is “take it up with Travelocity”. The staff and management at this hotel cannot even spell customer service. If you plan on booking a room here, you have been warned.

This property fraudulently offers rooms for booking that are livable. Then offers no remedy except to take it up with the 3rd party booking agent. These people (staff and management) can’t even spell “customer service “.
