Stayed here for the indoor pool and only upon our arrival did we find out it was closed. Disappointing because there are better priced hotels in the area but chose this for a pool that was closed.

The pool was not open. The walls have cracks in them in the bathroom that looks like mold. There was construction on the floor above us. Hammering at 7 am. I am not happy at all with this hotel. The only reason i chose this hotel was the pictures of the pool when we got there it was closed.

weve been here several times a year past few years. we pay the 20 dollars per couple for breakfast, but this time there was no person making omellettes, not a big deal, but we pay for the breakfast for that reason. the hotel in renovating upper floors so we couldnt get a room with king bed nor sitting area, so we were forced into a queen sized room......when I booked it said standard room king or queen. very dissapointing.....if I would have known on website how limited the rooms were due to renovations I wouild have booked different hotel, there was no mention on any website. especially not expedia, and expedia should mention that rooms are limited and most likely not going to get a king room due to renovations....and when we got there early, we know check in isnt until 3, but the way the front desk said, you know check in isnt until 3, and probably wont be ready before.....gimme a break, ok. I dont need to be told like a child with his hand in the cookie jar.....the correct way would have been for her to say, sorry, rooms are getting cleaned, Ill let you know as soon as it is ready, Ill text you. I think Im done with this hotel next time to area. there are a c ouple of chain hotels in ephrata area that is a bit further but whats 10 minutes out of our way....the rest of staff we bumped into the next 2 days were fine. room was clean enough, old fashioned tub shower no walk in shower....

I can’t remark on indoors but when I arrived to the hotel, there were 4 individuals outside who were all smoking and had a menacing appearance. One was near the front entrance, the other 3 out back by the loading dock area. The parking area was poorly lit and I had a very bad feeling about approaching. So I left!

The hotel was being remodeled, they gave us a room right next to the construction area. The noise from the machinery was horrible, starting before 9 in the morning. We couldn't rest at all. I checked out before 11 because of so much noise from the construction. I told the front desk staff about the situation and they said, "Okay, he didn't care at all." And on top of that, they said, "That's it, you can leave." How can they rent rooms in those conditions? Who wants to pay to be in a construction site instead of a vacation area? It was horrible.

Overall, stay was good dining food was better than expected. Downside was that the pool was closed for the whole entire Valentine weekend which was disappointing.

I loved this property. It was just what I needed for a two nights day. Upon arrival, the front desk help was so polite and genuinely kind and interested in my business in Morgantown. They gave me a great room (320). The lobby is open, airy and spacious. The pool and hot tub are in the lobby, but have privacy wall surrounding it. I would’ve loved to check it out, but I wasn’t at the room all day. One of the elevators wasn’t working, but really not a big deal. The property is older, but I feel it’s charming and you can tell there were updates made to both increase the comfort of guests and keep the cost low enough to offer competitive rates. I paid a little over $100 a night and I felt it was completely worth it depending on what you’re looking for in your stay. For example, two weeks ago I stayed in a higher end boutique hotel for 367 a night. It was beautiful, completely renovated and gorgeous. Had a river view, but it was so loud that I couldn’t get any sleep so I would sacrifice those amenities to have a quiet, peaceful sleep like I did at this Holiday Inn. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable. I actually did do a black light test on the sheets and they were pristine. I didn’t hear a peep during my whole stay. The bathroom, although a tad older was sufficient the water pressure was good enough not the greatest. The hot water wasn’t as available at six or 7 o’clock in the morning so I just waited an hour and took a shower at eight and it was fine

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The location is right off the PA Turnpike & the place has a lot of rooms. The cleanliness is good & the pool, hot tub, & fitness room are great! The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast offered for extra $ was well-worth it! We will definitely be back on our next trip.
