The room smelled like cedar. It had a foul smell. Definingly out dated and old. The breakfast was a bag breakfast, which I left at 4:30am, it was being served later.

no hot water in shower or sink.. told managment nothing was done bout it

Thought there would be an actual breakfast display/buffet set up. Instead got a brown bag of food to go.

My third time staying here, I come to Bangor for medical treatments. The hotel is conveniently located.

There was hair in the sink when my party arrived. The pool was closed and wasnt advertised at time of check in. There wasnt free wifi, service fee to use. Website stated free wifi service.

We were staying there due to a smow storm so we we just happy to not be driving. Everything about the place was very basic and adequate. The room had been updated nicely. The scent of the deodorizer was sickeningly strong, especially in the hallways. We could not have handled that and the deodorizer in the room for any longer. We were happy to be able to leave the hotel.

I used to love the howard johnson in bangor, but this last trip was not a good one, and i wont be back. First, i did the pre pay and pre check in for the room. Upom pre check in i paid an incidental deposit. When checking in, the front desk clerk was so rude. I had questions about why they would need a second card on file after already having a the room paid for and a hold on my card. He continuously cut me off & rolled his eyes. When he finally heard my full question, he looked on my account and said i guess i dont need a second card on file. When getting into the room, the bath tub and towels were full of shaved hair. The fridge was a mess. And the bedding was clearly not washed. I was extremely disappointed.

Decent for the price

You can not bring any game systems to connect they dont allow it, there was black mold in the bathroom that they tried to paint over. When asked about connecting to the tv i was just told they dont allow that. The soda machine and dryer were out of service the entire week I was there. The doors from the outside were hardly ever closed completely.

They should not advertise a continental breakfast and then only offer a grab and go bag.

Everything was fine . It was convenient and close by the airport . We had a late flight back .

Half the lights, bathroom fan, and heat pump in the room didn’t work. Awful smell permeated the room. The side entrance doors did not open with keys so they were being propped open by objects (a random boot), so I didn’t feel safe as there is an overwhelming amount of unhoused around. I’m certainly not a rich snob by any means, I just didn’t expect this level of destitute- I stayed there as a healthcare worker avoiding a snowy commute.

Nice big room with comfortable bed. Did the trick for a quick trip.

We went out for New Year’s Eve and stayed the night, great location close to downtown, the casino and the cross insurance center!
