We never made it to the hotel. I spoke with the hotel BEFORE the check in time and was told to call Hotels.com, which I did. Hotels.com called the hotel and told me that they tried to get me a refund or ability to transfer to another property which would have been closer to our route, but then said they spoke to the hotel who refused to accommodate us. So we wasted money, time and tempers because of this. I realize that we shouldn't have made the booking, but we didn't realize how far off our route is was. A 2-1/2 hour drive. The hotel said that Hotels.com refused the refund, and Hotels.com said the hotel refused the refund. Someone is not being truthful. I would still like either a refund or credit to stay at any of the hotels. I have been staying at various ones since 1994. I will now be giving this second thoughts
