rude customer service we had roaches every day. and the restroom look like they didn’t finish their construction, and there was a bullet hole in the window.. clean the once whole time we were there

Friendly staff and clean/comfortable room good amenities

The owners are very nice its clean its safe and its not right next to a freeway very spacious room great place to stay overall my only critique is that the tv had not great selection of channels and remote was hard to use but this place exceeds expectations for the price. So i dont care about the tv nearly fullsized fridge n freezer nice hot shower

I love that it seems renovated and it was definitely clean. Their A/C was able to cool me down during the historically hot summer days for the area, which I appreciate as someone with weather sensitivities. I love that there is gated parking as it seems like the area around is not high-end, but as someone who grew up in a not so luxurious way.. I felt fine. Those more familiar with the area may be able to speak on the safetiness better but nothing happened to me or my belongings! There were folks with families with children playing outside and all so I’d say it was a pretty safe area despite the block appearing a little run down and in need of some tender love & updating. Bakersfield seems like an affordable, charming place outside of the summer time heat & I’m glad this hotel provided me a place to explore and rest my head while here.

I did not realize this was an extended stay when I booked it, but it was darn near perfect anyway. There were obviously folks who lived there and smoked pot. I wasn’t worried about security but I’m not a fan of the smell. To be clear, the smell was outside and our room did not smell at all. It was immaculate. The room was fabulous. Spacious, clean, and the air conditioning worked on a really hot day over 100°. Motel 6 has done a great job of rebranding their places as clean budget places to stay, with a bit of style. This was basically a studio apartment and it felt really luxurious and nice to walk around on a clean floor. I’ve decided that if you are a budget traveler, you can either have a great breakfast or a great room, but not both. This time I opted for a great room and I’m glad I did.

The room itself was clean and the front desk staff was pleasant shower was hot. The location itself was in a rougher part of town. Large gate around the facility and you must have gate code or be buzzed in to access the motel. Appeared to have a large unhoused population in the area and could hear yelling/ disturbances from the room. Deadbolt for room was broken. Had I been traveling solo wouldnt have stayed.

It was clean, remodeled, staff nice, gated so that felt safe

Stayed one night; solo female traveler. Security gate and property fencing was good. Room was clean and with full size refrigerator. It appears some of these rooms are rented as extended stay to lower income people. I felt marginally safe. No breakfast offered but Starbucks and Burger King are next door. Maybe I would stay here again as super cheap price. Arrive, sleep, shower and leave.

It was nice and simple

The staff /possible owners -two ladies were very nice. The room was simple but well cleaned. The bed sheets were very wrinkled in the middle and made me wondered if they had been washed….and a towel had a black stains (looked like it has been washed). Those two points were very disappointing. I would rather have clean linen than large TV.

Liked that it was gated, and locked. Also was very clean and comfortable. Faucet for bathroom was wiggling all over and loose, but kitchen area was used and worked fine. Air conditioning was awesome, slept well!! Ty

Do not stay in room 219. It smelled like sewer and when I tried to tell the front desk to ask for another room they said it wasn’t possible and I was told they were fully booked. The toilet was wobbly and there was a hole at the bottom of the floor if it was misaligned. There was also a stain on our sheets and dried epoxy on the floor. Unsure where that was from.
