What a breath of fresh air. We did not have good accomodations at Crown Paradise Golden and was transferred free of any charges to Friendly Fun Vallarta. Friendly Fun was clean, well lit, the staff was attentive and very professional. Our room was clean, no gnats. There were several bars and restaurants to serve you. The adult side was very clean and low key, hardly any adults in the area, they were all with kids on the otherside. Morning coffee bars had all sorts of coffees and teas along with danishes and sweets. This is open all day and evening. The buffet changed up items daily. The pasta dishes and local dishes were excellent. Food could have been a bit hotter if you did not order off of the grill. Excellent omelets every morning. Several pools and many cabanas were there for you to enjoy, No need to worry about not getting a lounger or cabana, there were many. Located very close to the Malcone art center with a large walking path along the bay, has many stores, trinkets, jewelry, food and beverages to enjoy. Had a great time.

Most amenities were pretty good, but the dinner options were poor.

Very clean place, quite, mostly adult, 15 min to the AirPort and zona romántica.

We have been to Friendly at least 10 times. This was by far not a good experience.

We stayed here a week family of 4. The resort was very clean and staff extremely friendly. Our only complaints are night life ends early. Music and bars shut down early in our opinion. Only one bar open later and it's in the lobby so a bit of a walk from the dance floor. When it's busy the line up was nuts. Food was good but restaurants werent all open and the menus were a bit confusing. Buffet was always the same spread. Late night tacos were great. The beach is beautiful and the ocean views from rooms are breathtaking. All in all was a good time.

Family of 4 (11 and 5 yr old) I really wanted to like this hotel: Lots of maintenance going on while our stay. We were left with no option than to move to a different building after our first night there. Food options were very limited. I will say the breakfast was the best part of the dining. Only one family pool which we knew when we booked. There’s a small swallow area where all the littles play that can get very crowded, very soon which is understandable since this place is not very accommodating to kids. This place caters to adults. It should be an adults only resort IMO. Pros: the beach area is perfect! The sunset was the best part of this trip. Probably won’t ever return to this facility but we still made the best of this vacay.

The property was welcoming and the location close to the beach was ideal. Pool was nice as well. The room was basic, definitely dated but got the job done. The biggest letdown I think was the food. Dinner was very hit or miss and the options were just repeated over and over again so that got tiresome. Staff was very friendly

Overall, the resort it’s in good location with good service and good entertainment, separate pools for adults and children. Food is ok and more Mexican dishes than American. They gave us wrong room for 3 nights which was disappointing, when we complained they moved us to room we paid for it.

the room was nice and we could see the ocean but the toilet kept getting plugged, and 1 key stopped working. the food and activities was nice but the wifi kept dropping especially around the family pool

The hotel was well maintained and clean. The food was good. They had a great little coffee bar where the lattes were excellent. The hotel grounds were attractive. The staff was friendly and helpful. Each seemed to be willing to help with learning Spanish. Our stay overlapped the fallout from El Mencho’s attempted capture and death. While the city burned, the staff still put on brave faces and cared for guests as though nothing was going on. Many could not go home that night. Most worked long hours to cover for others who could not get to work because curfews held them in place. Their commitment and strength was amazing.

The nightly “shows” was a d.j playing music. Food was okay at best and only 1 reservation restaurant was open all week and food was not good so buffet for dinner every night. Cleaning staff often forgot to leave things like hand soap or hand towels if the room got cleaned at all.

Friendly staff. Nice beach and pool, esp. the adults only pool. Room was clean but basic. Beds are comfortable. Lots of restaurants, most with similar menus, unfortunately, one with a different menu was closed during our stay.

As usual staff is unreal. Always helpful. Really only request would be that there would.be more night activities. Its almost like the hotel doesnt want anything going on after dark.
